Reader! Yay!! A fellow Choco-tea fan! :o) Didn't know you were an Aussie! :o) I keep feeling like if I moved out of the US, I should try to seek a home in Australia*dreams and shrugs*.
Ya know..maybe I shouldn't have used the word addiction in reference to tea--you already know what it means---because an addiction is a substance we keep abusing(no..not beating the crap out of it lol..but..hrmm ya never know...) and we allow to control us as well as our lives...we have a dependence on it to function..this dependence becomes unhealthy. Remember Janet Swerdlow has affirmations as well as a webshow on it!!!
Coca Cola?? wuz up wit all the fizzy drinks!!! lol..something I don't drink either...whatevers! to each their own!!! it only affects you negatively if you let it me thinks. Ripleys Believe it Or Not showed a dude who eats metals and sharp objects..and they're all hanging out in the lumen of his stomach and GI tract.
I just consume tea everyday--but I don't sneak out of the house and smuggle it under my bed or in my closet or something..like what I do with chocolate..lol...and I don't feel like my day is ruined if i don't have it(at least I think?). I love chocolate drinks but I don't drink 'em all the time.
William--maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that scene from the movie. :o( hope i did not ruin it for ya!!! it was something that I was watching and kinda didn't get until the kid next to me cracked up about it.
Alright hope ya all weren't yawning after this post...
lol

Hi PP - you would probably find many familiar things here in Aus; movies, TV, fast food outlets, supermarket setups, a lot of music styles, some sports and recreation. Can't say much about the young scene around the country but most visitors love our beaches and huge inland and northern areas. Our economy is still going well which is good jobwise - don't know how wages would compare with the US. Most of us are all pretty laid-back in attitudes tho' our biggest cities Sydney and Melbourne are faster-paced. Just thought you might like a bit of info.
Regarding teas - there are many recommendations now for drinking green tea every day, also Ginseng. Dandelion tea is good for the kidneys (I use an English brand). I also have some herbal teas, and am using one now that Stewart suggests - ginger, mint & lemon grass.
Probably about 10-12 weeks is about the longest I can go without eating some chocolate and if there's none in the house I can feel a bit ratty, just knowing there's some stashed somewhere is quite comforting. Cheese however is a different story - maybe 1 week max before I'm looking the frig.

Reader i know how you feel about cheese.I love the stuff. My favourite cheese is proper Greek Feta Cheese and then second is Turkish Haloumi. Then there is Blue Stilton, West Country Farmhouse Cheddar and French Boursin.I also like Emmental and Gruyere which are Swedish cheeses. With cheese it is obviously very fattening and i have to watch my weight as i love to make my own breads and add chesse on top. When you have made a freshly baked rice bread, with spices, a nice bit of chesse on top is delicious.

I do not hate chocolate but i look at it and do not see the point of it as a food substance and therefore i do not eat it.I also find then if i am hungry, that chocolate does nothing to replenish energy.I eat no sweets or chocolate or drink any soft drinks.Hey, i remember that experiment done a couple of years back with Coca Cola, where a cleaner used it as drain cleaner and so that tells us how bad for the stomach it is.I prefer cheese, salads and crackers to chocolate for a good snack. When i used to eat chocolate i liked Caramac, and also those brilliant German chocolate bars called Ritter Sport.

Reader thank you for telling me about Australia!! We will see!! I hope to travel there someday and if I feel that maybe I can have a good life there, then maybe I will move. Things are always up in the air for me..must pull them down for manifestation purposes! :o)
What is lemongrass tea good for?
Just curious!! Yeah I pretty much drink the teas that Stewart recommends--peppermint(mint), ginger, and chamomile. Peppermint and Green Tea are the ones I consume everyday and everything else varies..like Gingko during exam time and Don Quai during womens cycles. Then if I list all the other teas I have stocked up, you will gasp and call me an American living in excess. I only stocked up cuz I didn't want to make trips to the health food store all the time and also needed to consider gas consumption in cars.
Avatar: haha yeah I love cheese too but same deal about weight control. Mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan(sometimes asiago, romano, etc) are quite common here on the island..there are many italians dominating the area I live in..of course there are hispanics and greeks here too...so yeah we'd see those feta cheeses, monterrey jack cheeses, etc
I havent tried that turkish haloumi..is it like feta?
You are right about coca cola--I do not drink it either--not only does it irritate the stomach and intestinal linings(mucosa, etc) if consumed everyday over time, but the calorie and sugar contents lead to weight gain----.. Also I remember one time that one of the companies, Pepsi or Coca Cola actually used to put cocaine in there!?!?! So I was suspicious about soft drinks! So Reader, beware!!
Its a good perspective you keep on chocolate that it has no nutritional value and its a pointless substance to consume--...I'm sometimes bad with chocolate addictions in that I will actually sneak out of the house to satiate a chocolate craving...and I know the only way to get out of it is through affirmations and lots of abstinence and self restraint..oversoul release work...and other ways to ground....
I heard carob is a good chocolate substitute as it actually has nutrients in it.

Thanks for the warnings re chocolate - I know it's not much good nutritionally, but as a comfort food, for me it has no match. It's psychological for sure, but it gets the endorphins going every time. Carob has the same colour and texture as choc but as it doesn't have cocoa in it, it doesn't seem to have the same effect. I'm more careful with Pepsi etc. for the reasons mentioned. Love all the Italian cheeses (not gorgonzola or blue vein types)
Avatar - you seem to have a very healthy diet. Did you always not eat choc or was this a specific decision? I only ask because most people I know like choc - the only ones who don't eat chocolate are either diabetic or from other countries where this was not normally eaten as children.
Lemongrass is actually a common ingredient in Asian cooking. The tea is a combination of Ginger, Spearmint & L/grass - it is mentioned in one of Stewart's books but I'll have to look it up to see it's benefits (cleansing I think). Tried Gingko in capsule form once but it made me sick so have never looked at it as a tea.
Choc-coated biscuits are a big seller here in Aus - probably one of the worst things to eat - full of fats and sugars. We have many jokes about the favourite ones - Tim Tams (choc biscuits, put together with choc cream and then coated with chocolate). This is why I wondered if there is more to the push for everyone to consume choc products. Bulk chocolate has no nutrional info at all, and even the bars have very basic notes on what is in them, and nothing about where the ingredients are sourced from. There is a lot of discussion here now about food labelling and countries of origin on products - consumer groups want more details, but of course the eternal cry of "too expensive to implement" is always quoted, especially for foods with several different sources for the recipe. I think I got off the track a bit, but this is important for all consumers I reckon.

Wow, I didn't know chocolate is particular to sexual energies. That's an interesting bit. Where do you find your information? Thanks.
