Strange Explorers
Most cavers will tell you that there is no such thing as reptilian humanoid creatures living deep underground. They have clearly been in the wrong caves. I think the problem is that cavers mostly stick to caves which have already been explored many times by previous adventurers. By this time, if any reptilian creatures were living in the cave, they would have evacuated to a deeper location long ago.
The best experiences come as a result of going real deep, and spending several nights in a cave that very few or no other people are aware of. In these cave systems, the reptilian humanoid beings have had no need to leave.
