Foods that should be in your diet. The way to better aging.

- Garlic
- Tomatoes (good against cancer)
- Olive Oil (keep in frige so the fat doesn't go bad!)
- Spinach (beter than carrots for the eyes)
- Almond, hazel, almong nuts (don't roast! keep in fridge so fat doesn't go bad)
- Pomegranates (changes how heart ages)

Ingredients that you should avoid:

- Sugar
- Enriched (junk)
- Partially hydrogenated oils (fat converts into solid for longer storage)
- High fructose corn syrup (fools the brain into thinking you are not full)
- Saturated fat (solid fat is bad for you)

Use butter. Our ancestors' metabolism was used to only butter, so our bodies don't deal with substitutes as well.

Oz was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University in 1982 and obtained a joint MD and MBA degree in 1986 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Wharton Business School. Oz is the Irving Associate Professor of Cardiac Surgery at Columbia University.

Oz has appeared numerous times on the NBC Nightly News , ABC World News Tonight, and CBS Evening News, and on 48 Hours, Turning Point, Dateline, Good Morning America, the Today Show, CNN, McNeil-Lehrer NewsHour, Discovery, PBS documentaries, Oprah, and more than two dozen other shows. In May, 2004 Mehmet was the commencement speaker at the graduation ceremony of Dwight-Englewood School. His daughter was a member of the graduating class. In addition, he gave several presentations as part of the Dwight-Englewood assembly series where, among other things, he expounded his views on the health benefits of flax seed oil.
