Dreamtime, Dreamtime, where art thou Dreamtime
#1
Ok i know i babble on how Ive read a couple of books n things.  So here is a rant for Dreamtime and anyone else that wants to join in.

I found my Roger Zelazny collection of books.  Has anyone read them?  He wrote "The Guns of Avalon"    -  Nine Princes in Amber  -  The Courts of Chaos -  The Hand of Oberon -  Lots more.    Its a Sword-Edged Fantasy of stolen worlds and minds. Its a Swashbuckling Fantasy of Parallel Worlds.
But in that series if my mind remembers right , gosh maybe i should re-read them again to make sure....      Anyway.  There is a nother reason for me bringing this up......  In the books there is a People who look and dress up like the king or jack of clubs in the card deck.    Anyway, I remember Stewart mentioning in his book about such a person for real who is not a good alien.    Now if it was not Zelazny then I will keep looking in my collection and correct it but it is in one of my books.  I was intrigued when Stewart told that story of the Jack of Clubs Alien.    I figure Dreamtime might of read these or the book with the jack of clubs.

peace

Nope...sorry...the only Jack of Clubs "person" that I remember or know of, was the one in Alice in Wonderland. :big grin:

And I also don't remember Stewart saying anything about a "Jack of Clubs alien," but I would like to know more about it. What book did you read it in?

Ok, It was the Jack of spades, and it was mentioned in the Montauk the Alien Connection.  Page 27 and page 182.

Ok, there is no winner this round of " .............

Anywho i did not think about the Jack of clubs in A. Wland.  Good thinking.

Anyway i thought it was neat about the Jack of spades and having such a being mentioned in a sci fi book.  Just made me think if the writer knew of that race or if the playing cards were commissioned because of the Aliens.

Anyway im easily entertained i guess.

DreamTime is so obsessed with jewelry lately that it is like pulling teeth to get her on this forum or do anything else. She spends all her time playing with beads. She’s in the zone. P-LOL

Richard: :orcass:

William: That's okay, I'm easily amused also. That's what keeps me young.  I'm going to have to go back to the Montauk book and reread those passages.

Dreamtime: LOL about your response to Richard. Haha I like how he teases you.

Dudette, its funny you've been creating jewelry while I've been obsessively buying cheap fashion jewelry a lot lately. I had purchased a lot of fashion earrings with my savings over the past year...so I needed to buy fashion necklaces and bracelets to go with!!!!! Plus I'm trying to find new showy ways of expressing myself..instead of looking like plain me--tightly wrapped hair in a bun, nerdy glasses on, no jewelry.no make up...clothes that repress my femininity/sexuality,etc...lol so i'm busting out the jewelries, better clothings, trying to do better things with my hair..

btw...the only sci fi fantasy books i've read(if i ever get the time cuz i'm so busy with studies dudes) were stephen kings books(okay he's horror), star trek( afew of 'em), the Aurian Saga by Maggie Furey, Tanya Huff's Wizard in the Grove, etc. I want to read Clan of the Cave Bear and some star wars related books. I have  a friend who loves fantasy books..so she knows whats good to read lol..

but hse's in vet school now!

I know they tease each other and im afraid they might break out in a fight and start slingin Fonts or something at each other!

Did you see Clan of Cave Bear in the movies?  I did not like that movie, I was offended by it but only because im about that hairy.
Ive suggested the solo adventures of Han solo. err something like that.
The Han Solo Adventures,  3-books in one.
Han solo at stars end,   han solos revenge  ,    han solo and the lost legacy.

William: Is that the movie with Darrell Hannah or someone like that in it? If it is, I've seen it. I resisted reading the book for a long time because it was so long and it didn't sound interesting. Finally my daughter got me to read it, and I was surprised to find that it wasn't too bad.

I just finished reading "The Taking" by Dean Koontz. It was pretty freaky. You should read it. Now I'm starting "Fear Nothing" by same author. I was really into a series I happened onto, called "The Dresden Files," by Jim Butcher. But I liked the first one so much, I zoomed through the other five books, and now I have to wait until more come out in paperback. P-Sad You should check out the series, William, I think you may like them. The first book is called "Storm Front."

Purple Parrot: That's interesting that you are changing your whole outlook on yourself. What precipitated all of this change do you think?
