Earth Hour, what?
#11
"Kill-Yourself-For-The-Earth Day"

By Henry Makow Ph.D.
March 30, 2008

At 8 p.m. on March 29, millions of people around the world obeyed Big Brother and shut off their lights for an hour to "conserve energy and fight climate change."

Organized by the elite World Wildlife Fund, "Earth Hour" was a psy-op designed to remind us we are a burden on the ecosystem. The event was organized by an elite who represent one percent of the world's population yet own over 40% of the resources.

From the elite perspective, we're superfluous- the real message of 'Earth Hour."

Have they ever done anything to celebrate human life?

If we are energy challenged, it is because the Illuminati banking cartel has been suppressing non-polluting free-energy technology for almost a century. At the same time, this cartel has been fomenting wasteful and tragic wars. Why not end war for the sake of the Earth? How about Al Gore's record on the use of weaponized depleted uranium?

Millions of people in 26 countries participated on March 29. Whole city skylines went dark. What better symbol of the New World Order!  Corporations dutifully obeyed their major shareholders. Even Google darkened its banner.

"It's a way for people to stand up in a positive way, not just feel guilty about it," explains Josh Laughren of World Wildlife Fund-Canada.

"But if this begins and ends with Earth Hour and we go back to ordinary life...it will not have been a success. There are ways we can all reduce our carbon footprint to ensure every hour in future is Earth Hour."

A MODEST PROPOSAL

If people feel they are such a burden, why not kill themselves? Is there a more effective way to say you care about the planet? Erase your  "carbon footprint" altogether.

We will need some time to get our affairs in order, and say our goodbyes, but perhaps next Spring, the World Wildlife Fund could sponsor a "Kill-Yourself-for-the-Earth Day."  Families, companies, cities and countries could offer  sacrifices to the Environmental God.  With proper promotion, millions might volunteer.

Why dither with symbolic gestures when we can make a real difference?

As former US vice-president Al Gore said last year in accepting the Nobel Peace Prize: "We are what is wrong and we must make it right!"

No, Al Gore. You and your Illuminati henchmen are the problem. Please consider my modest proposal.

Reminds me that The Humanist Manifesto talks about drastic reductions in Earth population as a solution.  It didn't work well in China, though, did it?  Now they have all these sons growing up and no duaghters for them to marry.

So if we care about the global warming on Earth, why does nobody mention the warming on Mars or the other planets orbiting our Sun?  What is causing the warming on the other planets?

I like reading Henry's articles.

This subject about people feeling we need to get rid of ourselves to save the planet was discussed on Coast the other nght.  I happened to catch a bit of the repeat last night.  Alex Jones was on talking about what Ted Turner said about needing to reduce the population.  Of course, Ted Turner is sucking up many times his share of the resources on this planet.  Lol!

http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/apr...turner.htm

The idea that the planet needs saving was a big theme in so-called alien abductions for years.  I tend to think the planet does not need to be saved.  This planet can boot us off at anytime and regenerate itself like it has done before.

Back in my environ[mental] days of the 80's and early 90's, I used to feel this way (humans were a scourge on the planet and needed to be removed) as I was symbolically bleeding daily for the earth and how poorly I believed it was being treated.  My perspective has certainly changed since then.

Correction: I made a booboo.  Alex Jones was on Coast last night.  I wasn't too awake when I caught a bit of last night's show after being asleep for a while and wakening.  I didn't look at the clock.  I had been listening to some of the prior night's show before I went to bed.

Interesting article Richard, I agree with some of it, but I don’t believe earth hour was designed for us to think we are a burden, anyone who is even slightly eco aware understands that mother nature is the second most diverse force in our life, the universe being number one. Polly, I agree that the earth does not need saving yet, but it certainly needs nurturing.
I can only tell you from a perspective of my country, and that we are becoming very environmentally educated and aware of the small things that we should all be doing. I personally see that as a positive because at the end of the day, if the trees, bees and birds die, we will not be able to survive.
GR, I might start a bit of conflict here but I agree that the world is overpopulated but no I don’t believe they should be killed off, and I don’t have the solution, but there are many parents out there that should not be parents.

Okay, I'll stick my neck out even more!  If the intelligent, educated people are wise enough to reduce the number of children they bear, and the uneducated, less fortunate people have lots of children, where are we going?

When I was younger we understood that there is a reason to put off sex (not much  birth control available then) until there is a stable family for children.  We loved our future children enough to put off sex.  At least, that was considered the best way, even if some of us failed.  If you got pregnant out of wedlock, you were expected to put the baby up for adoption.  It was considered very selfish to choose to raise it in a single-parent, impoverished environment.  This was also because we loved the child more than what it pained us to give it up.

GR,
It is one of those topics where emotional opinions always conquer and I don’t see any resolution, and people have no idea what it takes to raise a child until they have one, and it does not take long for the baby to grow and then the parents go back to their own life plus kids!
There are so many systems in the world that encourage one parent families to enhance the agenda and we in Australia probably offer the worst temptation- money, yes Australians get paid to have babies. So at the end of the day and in 2008 we have thousands of girls, and I say girls, because they are all under age having babies to get the baby bonus.
But who am I to say this, I am sure there are many young devoted mothers. There are kids born into a life with money, but still feel unloved, every situation has children that have something to say. Money does not make a home, it just makes a lifestyle.
Sticking my neck out, I can only say that educated people think about the consequences and requirements of a child, and people that are less fortunate do not, but that is not to say they can not offer the child just as much.
Personally I love babies and could have had ten, but I could not offer them a lifestyle, one on one time and patience, how do you do that with so many?

I've been around the super rich and the highly educated and I've been around the other end of the spectrum. I can say without a doubt that unless one is mentally handicapped education and money does not necessarily make for better parenting. Money and /or connections  do provide the ability/means to compensate for parental shortcomings and the consequences of such ,but in my experience it is only a cover up. The problem is rarely dealt with honestly. This is not to say being poor and uneducated is better either.I don't know the answer but I do know that when society can get over it's fascination of gold , glitter  and bigger and invest in more substantial and lasting substance such as heart and soul we will all benefit.

IMO we need to break the spell of glamour. (in the literal sense of the word)

This is the first I've heard of Earth Hour.  Interesting.  The idea reminds me of the quiet and peaceful energy that ensues when the power goes out in the neighborhood - or the feeling of being off the grid, when camping in the wilderness.

As a child, I participated in the first Earth Day at my school and have been a compulsive recycler, reuser, conserver, for years.  This year, I noticed that two of my up to now can't get a clue siblings had actually made small efforts to reuse/recycle. (I was the changeling in a family of pod people.)

Now, if we can get people focused on effective green alternative energy options that have been suppressed by the NWO, we would really accomplish something.

I missed a lot in the last week from being ill too.  What's up with so many being incapacitated recently?

I totally agree MN, and I have no idea on how to stop it globally, it is a problem. I don’t think anyone will disagree with what you say about parenting. I also know really good parents with terrible children, there are so many situations when it comes to the family unit.

Spiritvoyager,
I hope you are feeling better, glad to see you are earth aware, that is all it takes, there are no specific requirements or dedication, does your local council provide recycling bins? Or are products labeled to display whether they are made from a recycled material? It is small things that always make a difference. So what other suggestions do you have for people to become earth aware?

several years ago, when I was taking an intro class on international studies, one of the core issues the class had to discuss was on population density on earth and how it is a huge factor on many of the problems we have on global scale. Poverty, widespread disease(making it no so easy to eradicate all diseases like they did with polio..i dont know if any cases have ever showed up since then!), pollution, starvation, war and strife, etc...all these things have a lot to do with the increase of people...

for example an idea that my professor brought up(which wasn't exactly novel at the time) was what if every single person in india and china(the two most heavily populated places on earth, aside from Japan, the US and Russia,etc..i dont know the exact rankings/the current global census is...etc) had driven a car or had an air conditioner and a freezer...thats not good for the people, the environment,etc..

population--i can't stress how much it affects our problems on this planet..

1 billion people in china...and 1 billion in india? eeks!!! how do people live--distribute everything...and still have needs met---and still manage to become superpowers--unofficially is it?? maybe it could be managed...but when you think about it..

i thought about it over the years..i do love children, i would love to have had my own but because i know i want to live and enjoy somethings about my life...and things aren't good here..its hard to be there for oneself in my eyes...let alone be there for another.the way i see it..and it might be narrowminded..i think one needs to be balanced to understand how to be there for themselves...so that they know how to be there for themselvs and the children they plan on having..

i think its hard to just be there for yourself..to afford a single persons life--financially, energetically, physically and emotionally..even spiritually...and all the things in it..thats a lot..and then to contribute to another...thats even more..

parenting--it seems to  be natural and fit for people--yet a struggle for many...even th ones who handle themselves well--..but  i logically thought not me..i dont want to have a child only because i'm not mentally, emotionally willing or even prepared to do something like that....i knwo i can be a good parent but not in todays world..todays world is so trying and complicated.

besides there's so many people on this planet...i'm not sure how or where humanity is going..do we need more people on this earth than there already are???

too many people , too many issues, too many needs, too many conflicts,...

overpopulation does lead to pollution...if not handled properly..especially with so many developing nations...who need to kinda go through industry to technologically enhance themselves..........

i'm sure there are many scrambling around trying to find asolution...or not just bothering and raking in what they can get...or worse..sittin back and enjoying the show..and waiting for the rest of us to do something else...

i hope its not crying havoc!!!

i believe everything will be okay...in these dire times.

lol peace and love
