Flanagan Neurophone
#11
One thing you must be aware of is that the sound the I heard from the Neurophone is not clear as the sound I hear with regular ears....low quality....not bass or low beats....

I even dig out my old hemisync cd to see what would happened...there were no binaural beat....

I can use external recordings or use the built-in Pink noise...which is much louder...

If i was aware of this neurophone thing earlier....I would have try to get the one that can allow a person to hear sounds up to 250,000 Hertz...

Too bad about the binaurals. That was one of the things that I was looking forward to. Maybe if you try the transducers together with the stereo headphones using the splitter?

It appears from the promo info that the sound inside the brain becomes clearer with time of use. ???

Another experiment that I had in mind was playing home-made subliminals. ???

Another is self-hypnosis.???

Please keep posting your observations.

I would not recommend to use hemisync....due to possible embedded subliminals  that may or may not be included in it.... I only use it to see if the effect was still there with Neurophone....

I think the reason why it did not work with the neurophone....is due the nature of how Binaural Beats works....The sound coming from the Neurophone seem to bypass the human's ears...design and limitations.

....

"Binaural Beats...The sensation of auditory binaural beats occurs when two coherent sounds of nearly similar frequencies are presented one to each ear with stereo headphones or speakers...The brain integrates the two signals, producing a sensation of a third sound called the binaural beat....Binaural beats originate in the brainstem's superior olivary nucleus, the site of contralateral integration of auditory input....

.....

This type of Binaural Beat effect is related to something called

"Vibrato Effect, which...is the tremulous effect imparted in  some vocal  or instrumental  music,  and the  cycle-per-second range causes  people to go into an altered  state of consciousness. At one period of English history, singers whose voices contained pronounced  vibrato were not allowed to perform publicly because  listeners would go into an altered state and have fantasies, often sexual in nature...." (....that's just an example...:D)

http://www.sacred-texts.com/bos/bos114.htm

When a person is in altered state and/or sexually stimulated, he/she is opened to any suggestions...as long that it don't contradict the person's values...(i think it's due to will power...)

.....

The thing about hemysync is that a person only need to use it or experience it once....and won't have to listen to the Binaural Beat cd or recording media again....

To experience the Binaural Beat effect again in the brain....the person just have to remember the experience from memory itself....

....

Hope that you won't have to depend on either the Hemisync or the Neurophone to expand you awareness...

I think these kind of methods/products are very interesting, however the risk of mind-control, subtile programming and damaging some physical bodyparts  (esp. the nerves/brain/bones & ears) with supersonic frequencies is present.

Remember also the ELF-sublimals and satelite transmissions we get daily.

The subconscious will hear everything; so that's an explanation of the successtory of the neurophone; it's a kind of hypnosis via the subconscious senses.

I think auto-hypnosis with your own affirmations played by a simple recorder will have also amazing results, and I think this kind of indirect auto-hypnosis is less risky.

After three attempts to contact these people (www.neurophone.com) via the email, I finally called their toll-free number. No longer any good.

Called the toll number and got a female who seemed only able to answer questions by reading from the manual, a feat I am quite able to do on my own.

When asked about neurophone.com and why no one answers email, she said that that Flanagan Group was now PhiSciences. Well good, but they do not even show the neurophone on that site.

What about ordering? Well, the anonymous female (AF)speaking for Flanagan said yes that it was just fine to order off off that neurophone.com site. When I said that I signed up for the newsletter on that very same Neurophone site and would I still be getting that, the AF said no, they don't do that.

When I asked why they are selling their product off of a web site that no one takes responsibility for (either the emails or having a sign-up for a newsletter that no one creates or delivers) my AF got pissed and hung up on me.

There is something very wrong here!!! Legit vendors do not act like this.

My experience with this AF, coupled with the experience of no email, no newsletter as advertised, and no forums where one can correspond with people who use this device ("I Am" is the first and only one)has cured me from wanting one. Or at least put my desires on the back burner.

I am certainly interested in meditation and brain entrainment. But this pig-in-a-poke looks more and
like just a pig. Certainly their AF phone rep bears that out.

Thank you for your input.

Did not catch your post until I logged on today. My email notifier must have gotten past me.

I sense that your advice is sound and good.

I was somewhat preoccupied on my last post with my negative experience with Neurophone's phone-rep.

I have also wanted the Neurophone ever since I came across it a few years ago. I have known people through the years who have used it with wonderful and amazing experiences and successes. Now I know that this is a forum for the Neurophone, but I was wandering if anyone has heard of the Echophone, which is supposed to be almost the same in it's use, and if anyone has one and used it? For me I am thinking about purchasing the Echophone first because it is almost $100-$150 dollars less than the Neurophone. Also, if anyone is interested it can be found at www.echophone.com.
