Sorry, Sovereign, I tried clicking on that blue icon, but it was for URL's. Can't seem to find the one that's for embedding videos. :(

knmar Wrote:Hello Sovereign: Thank you so much for the tutorial. It looks imposing and challenging, but I will see if I can master it. First of all, I'm going to post a snippet from a very knowledgable poster on another website where there is much discussion about the Japanese disaster and its implications for those in North America.I have seen and heard info on Norwegian Atmospheric Research Center they use a computer generated particle dispersion model for generating how the radiation from the fukushima nuclear plant would spread driven by meteorological input data from a variety of global and regional models. The last or 3 of 3 video of the news reporter telling people it is ok to drink the Kool-Aid the because the EPA says it ok while the other expert says no no don't drink the Kool-Aid is kind of comical. If well known that the people of Japan don't trust their government it so bad they have to lie as so much as not to cause a panic same thing with the govt run EPA will not tell us the truth either.

Can't seem to find the one that's for embedding videos. :(The only thing I see up their you might of selected is "Insert Link" It is not a blue icon all the tools are above you when you are in the Edit post window it will be a small you tube image up above near the center. If you look above while you are posting you will see the word "Edit Post" down below you will see two tool bars with all the tool icons on a blue background. You should see a You Tube icon on the 2nd tool bar on a blue background near the center. If you move your mouse over these icons on a blue background they will tell you what they are or do. Once you click on the You tube icon it will popup a URL box for you to enter the Address or link of the You tube video after you are done click ok. Before you do this place the cursor in the position you want the embeded video player to be positioned at in your post like maybe under your text if it is not already there. You can go to Preview and click the button to see if you are successful and satisfied with your post then you can then normally post it by clicking on the Save Edit post button to post to the forum.

Sovereign. I can't find the Edit section. I'm going to take a screen shot of this and see if I can show you what I see when I'm posting a reply. Perhaps then you can point out to me which icon to click on to get the YouTube embedding to happen.
Oh dear, I can't even find the way to include a screen shot (I used the img icon). It's hopeless. I'm sorry, I just can't do it. Thanks so much for your time and trouble, Sovereign. Well, I just found the Ed Post, which I'm doing right now, but the tool bars are exactly the same as if I reply to your post. Nothing addition in here. The first blue toolbar has Bold Italicize, Underline. The second blue toolbar is text alignment. The third blue toolbar is numbering and bulleting. The fourth blue toolbar is "quotes" "Img" "URL" "Code". That's all I have (besides font size and color on the left)

Yes I need to see a screen shot of what you are seeing. And if your screen shot is different then mine then maybe we will have to have Richard work some magic and see if he can fix the problem. Or maybe I will latter take a screen shot of my screen and post it so we can compare notes. I downloaded a pretty good screen capture program I just have to find it and install it or look for a similar free one on the internet. My screen shot of this Edit Post: ![]()

Sovereign, thanks for your continued attendance to my lack of forum tech knowledge. I've got the screenshot, but don't know how to post a photo. Does it have to download it from my computer desktop?
Wait a minute. I see an Attachment section. I'll get this screen shot up right away.

I can't get the screen shot to show up (at least when I preview it), but I'm praying this link will work. Let me know. Thx!

Does it have to download it from my computer desktop? For my image I had to load it up to my photobucket account a free image hosting site. Since when you click on the insert image icon it request a URL but there is no option to download directly from your hard drive. Ok I have to correct my self there is a way using the attachment also on my screen so you can browse your computer and upload an image directly as long as it is not greater then 307200 bytes. Can't sometimes see the trees for the forest.:) But in the long run it can be bad if to many people load up to many images to Richards Host Server. There was an issue one time when I was having a similar problem of different screens then the other person that was helping me to post to a special Video site of his. The name of that person is Dennis from WarriorMatrix I was on the phone with him since he was walking me through how to post on Orgone Tv a video site. He was seeing one thing on his screen but I could not see what he was seeing on my screen. So he had to give me more juice to fix the problem by giving me moderator status to fix my screen to where I was now seeing what he was seeing now which was kind of weird that he had to do that in order to allow me to be able to post a video on Orgone TV. It think Orgone TV is obsolete since you have more options of posting videos instead of just links using Dennis upgraded forum software to post with more options on Dennis two websites WarriorMatrix and PsyWarriormatrix. It is apparent that your screen is different then mine. I am using a 22 inch LCD wide screen monitor set to its native resolution of 1680 x 1050. Nor does it appear differently since both show up in IE or Firefox. I use Firefox since it has a buillt in spell checker that why you see the red underline in certain text. And mouse over it to correct that word. IE images might be a little clearer and Firefox images if they are small are sort of fuzzy.

So we're getting different views of this, huh? I wouldn't think it would have anything to do with our particular OS or size of screen since it's internet based. But maybe my Safari browser sees things differently. Who knows?

You might try Firefox or IE. If you want to pursue it further you might PM Richard to have him look at this post and the screen shots we both posted and see if he has a clue or recommendation for you of how to fix the problem of not having full functionality in your post which seem you are lacking at the moment. Or maybe some or certain options from Richards administrative screen is not set up right for your account that is sort of limiting you from doing certain things in your posts like posting videos such as youtube and other video types. |
