George Carlin Questions "Received Reality" Of 9/11 Story

Grammy award winning comedian, actor says new investigation would be whitewash

Grammy-winning American stand-up comedian, actor, and author George Carlin spoke of his doubts about the official 9/11 story during a recent appearance at Borders bookstore in New York City, just a few blocks away from ground zero.

Asked what he thought of the 9/11 truth movement and how Bill Maher's show was interrupted by truthers last week, Carlin responded, "I always question the received reality."

"The consensus reality is often intentionally misleading," he added.

Asked if he would support a new investigation into 9/11, Carlin was skeptical, stating, "They don't investigate themselves in this country - it would be a whitewash, it would be like the Kennedy thing, it would be like everything."

"The people who are in charge do what they want and they will always do what they want, power does what it wants to and I wouldn't trust an investigation," Carlin concluded.

Carlin was described by Comedy Central as the second greatest stand-up comedian of all time behind Richard Prior and is famous for his scathing black humor directed at American culture and the political climate.

During a recent appearance on Keith Olbermann's MSNBC show, Carlin said that America was "finished" because "no one questions things anymore" and that the population had been bought off by distractions, toys and gizmos.

Watch a stand-up routine where Carlin slams the education system and talks about the true power system that controls America.

I don't agree with Carlin that "America is finished". I do however  believe that there is a strong, continuous and deliberate effort to buy us off with" distractions( porn being the worst, status the next) toys and gizmo's. I might add ...worthless trinkets.

Time is fast running out for Americans to gain the upper hand on their rulers, 2012 will soon be only 4 years away and people are still cheering on all illuminati candidates for the upcoming election.  Ron Paul in the meantime is struggling to get finance to run for Presidency.

That's not a picture success I don't think.  If Ron Paul does not win these elections, I'd hate to be the one trying to overtake their power and win the following elections... there may not be any if they win these.

I don't see enough being done by any of the 1st world countries to counter their existing evil rulers.  England and Ozz will once again be under the spell of the WestMinster Spinsters, America is dissolving their original Constitution every time Bush hickups.  So I can't see how any of them will be overpowered or replaced by 2012.  That being the case, I can't really say that any of us are WINNING the race, and if we aren't winning then perhaps 'finished' isn't too far out of tune with reality.  Say what you will, but before doing so show me where this fight is being won.

I'm not impressed with the way things are going.:X

Andrew, I like Carlin a lot too. I always felt he was one of the best comedians. I agree about the US going down hill fast. It’s all part of the plan; they want to reduce the US to a third world country.

List Universe is my new friend.  :D

Here's a list someone made of top George Carlin quotes.  Link here.
1. I think it’s the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately.

2. Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck.

3. I’m completely in favor of the separation of Church and State. My idea is that these two institutions screw us up enough on their own, so both of them together is certain death.

4. If it’s true that our species is alone in the universe, then I’d have to say that the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little.

5. It’s never just a game when you’re winning.

6. Some national parks have long waiting lists for camping reservations. When you have to wait a year to sleep next to a tree, something is wrong.

7. Well, if crime fighters fight crime and fire fighters fight fire, what do freedom fighters fight? They never mention that part to us, do they?

8. The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, “You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I’m just not close enough to get the job done.”

9. Fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity.

10. Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?

11. I think people should be allowed to do anything they want. We haven’t tried that for a while. Maybe this time it’ll work.

12. I was thinking about how people seem to read the Bible a whole lot more as they get older; then it dawned on me - they’re cramming for their final exam.

13. Just cause you got the monkey off your back doesn’t mean the circus has left town.
14. One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor.

15. People who say they don’t care what people think are usually desperate to have people think they don’t care what people think.

16. The reason I talk to myself is that I’m the only one whose answers I accept.

17. The status quo sucks.

18. When you’re born you get a ticket to the freak show. When you’re born in America, you get a front row seat.

19. You know an odd feeling? Sitting on the toilet eating a chocolate candy bar.

20. “I am” is reportedly the shortest sentence in the English language. Could it be that “I do” is the longest sentence?
