I don't know if this means anything but.....
a chatter from my chat room
<anon> its funny, the software the hospital i work for is using to create system wide standardized medical records by 2010 in order to support the nationwide standard is created by a company called "Epic" and the software is called "Hyperspace"
<thekid> interesting any more info or url ?
<anon> i havent researched it on the web, my info is from my job
<anon> i do know they are hiring like crazy to have enough people to convert all the medical records from the other systems
<anon> 2 ppl i work with are going to the project, they've spent a gang of money on consultants too
<anon> they did a video touting how great it will be for the employees to watch, it's slated to be complete by 2010
<anon> once it's finished, they'll be in a position to offer microchip implants
<anon> as my CIO said november of 2004, somewhere in the future, we'll be able to be more efficient by offering "chips in navals" for patients who dont want to wait in line
<anon> so i doubt there will be a super cataclysmic disaster before then, maybe just more sporadic ones like katrina
<thekid> they might not need a big one to push their agenda through eh
<anon> well i think they will need it to make the microchips mandatory to function in society
<anon> but that is the end
<anon> up until then it will be convenience and incrementalism and that will get the majority anyway
<anon> and i should say, i am following the formula from the stephen jackson game in 1995 =)
