I checked their eyes
#1
Okay, I have said on other posts how my dreams have been messed up lately where I'm not even trying to write them down, but then a few days ago I had those 'clips' that I was able to remember. Well last night (or really this morning) I had this strange dream that I actually felt a need to write down. It was actually the last one of three that I had and remembered. This one was the strangest.

I was in a room with lots of my aunts, uncles, and cousins all around - almost like there was a party or some kind of gathering. Anyway, I started going around and checking everyone's eyes for some reason. I would ask them to look at me and then I would say "your eyes are blue; your eyes are brown; etc.  I came to my one sister (who's now dead) and I said to her: "your eyes are violet!" Then I came to my mom (who's also dead) and I told her: "your eyes are yellow!" Then I went over to my ex-brother-in-law (the ex husband of my dead sister), and I said: "your eyes are also yellow!" I then clarified it by saying: "actually they are a kind of yellow-orange...sort of like amber." But I was still shocked at the color of their eyes. Then I went to this little boy (who I thought was a cousin of mine), and I saw that his eyes were violet also. As I was doing this, I thought to myself: this is what I want to do in life...not be a party planner (don't ask me about this - I never even thought about being a 'party planner') but to figure out people's personality, like an astrologer.

Shortly after that I woke up. I found this dream interesting as I never before (that I can remember) went around checking people out by looking into their eyes. And I never told myself (in a dream) what I wanted to do with my life. I can't imagine how looking into people's eyes could be related to figuring out personalities or being an astrologer.

Dreamtime,

I knew your dreams would return with a twist! Well this is a very interesting dream you have had and the eyes hold many traits to the mind-pattern of an individual. The eyes are the windows of the soul, and the eyes give away nearly 80% of the person’s character. The colors that were dominant in your dreams reflect the creative energy of your own chakra system, you must be experiencing some type of personal change to the way you perceive people and events, perhaps more accepting of an issue that has given you stress in the past?

The astrologer part, the connection I can only think of is your requirement to understand people. Without astrology I would think most people are nuts and there would be no way I could tolerate their behavior.

But on a negative side, those who rip people off with their charlatan methods and New Age BS, you know those psychics/tarot readers that you go to at a fair etc; they use your eyes and body language to tell them what you want to hear, your eyes show excitement, fear and enthusiasm so they will just go with it and you walk away amazed at the accuracy. (Not saying they are all bad, there are many talented psychics out there)

Glad to hear your dreams are recurring.

Well my dreams never 'technically' disappeared, I just couldn't make enough sense of them to bother to write them down. And then they were so jumbled up that I would just say 'screw it' and forget about them - to a point.  Sometimes pieces stay with me.

But this dream was different from the others. I did find it kind of creepy that I purposely went looking at everyone's eyes. And the blues that I saw were usually all pale or 'ice' blues (communication?) And the amber eyes were really spooky to see - especially on my mom (whose eyes were brown) and my ex-brother-in-law. Could be something to do with ancient DNA?

I also find it interesting that my ex-BIL has been showing up in a lot of my dreams. The last time I saw him was at my sisters funeral - before that I hadn't seen him in years and years. A few days before this dream he was in another one where I was riding with him and some other people in a horse and buggy. He was going to take us on a tour of this place where we had gone on vacation. As we came to the top of a hill, there were millions of balloons - all different colors and sizes - covering everything as far as you could see. It seemed like there was nothing below them. I was afraid to go down the hill, but he said not to worry, and suddenly we broke through the balloons and there was a whole town underneath them.  That was a weird dream too.  But he shows up quite often in my dreams for some reason.

Perhaps your brother in law is calling out to you astrally, and might need your guidance or just to talk. This can happen, I had a friend who experienced the same thing with her BIT, but this was her husband’s brother, it was a very amazing story of invisible telegraphing but with a very sad end.

Seems like all your dreams have a color connection, has this ever happened in past dreams and how would you translate it?

I don't know why he would. We don't talk and hadn't in years, like I said, until my sister's funeral. He's remarried and lives in Arizona. He's also an alcoholic and doesn't even keep in contact with his own kids. Actually, it's them who doesn't want to keep in contact with him.

As to the colors, well I usually always dream in vivid color. And yes, there usually is some kind of noticeable color connection on something - what I mean is - a lot of times I wake up and remember specific colors or patterns (or even numbers or symbols) on certain things, compared to just the general colors of the world I'm in. I always feel that it means something - something I'm supposed to understand - but I usually don't understand and it's frustrating. Sometimes I can't remember what the colors are and that is even more frustrating. I'm not sure what their connections are to the dreams. Someone once said that certain colors are programming colors, but how can I prove that for sure if I never remember anything?

I really do wish I understood dreams better. I think there are so many messages in them; much more than what people think. I also think that they tell 'stories' (memories) that, if interpreted, could tell you a heck of a lot more about yourself than you already know.

DT,
Most times we do not know the reason why we are having the experience until some time later, when all the pieces are put together. Everything has purpose, everyone has a way of receiving information from their higher self, do you read up much on color therapy? There are some great books on this and also color psychology, the association of the mind through color, it could help.

DT,

I think its interesting that the people in your dream who are still alive had normal colored eyes, and the people who are dead had strange colored eyes. That seems significant.

I wonder if the color of their eyes have something to do with them as they are now, or something to do with a separate aspect of you that each of them would symbolize. Or something about your relationship with them. Like possibly your relationship with your sister (violet eyes) was healing.... with your mother (yellow/orange) is was absorbing and creative.... etc.

Is it possible that your BIL could want you to communicate something to his children for him?

Dreams have always intrigued me. I had a roommate once, that when she had bizarre dreams, she'd link it to something she ate. I've always felt there was something more to it that that!
You didn't eat anything really spicy the night before did you? ::big grin:

Wow, I forgot all about this thread and dream. hehe  It's just that all my recent dreams have been pretty bizarre. Most times lately, I don't even write them down (I usually can only remember a brief piece of it anyway).

No, I don't eat spicy foods. :big grin: No, my BIL has no desire to keep in contact with his kids. He lives right near 3/4 of them and he could contact them anytime he wanted, but he chooses not to.

Don't know if I made the connection to the dead/alive color of eyes. Interesting, though.

Yes, I like color therapy. I do have a few books on it, and it has always interested me.

Thanks everyone, for all of your comments.
