Man photographs 'ghost' in park
#1
Christopher Petty and his brother decided to spend a day outdoors, enjoying the warm Sussex sunshine. Little did they know when they started out that they would be joined by someone or something else. Sunday May 16th started like any other day in early Summer. The sun was shining and like many of us, Southern Counties web surfer Christopher Petty decided to make the most of the weather and get out and about. He and his brother decided to visit the National Trust's historic Sheffield Park Gardens in Sussex. They took their cameras; it is a particularly beautiful spot afterall, and a few photographs of the day would serve as a nice reminder. So, when they started snapping away, neither of them expected the following results, once the pictures were developed...

Chris explained: "On the photo there appears to be a shadowy figure of a woman to my right which I can't explain as: A. There was no-one beside me at the time and B. There was no statue in that part of the garden. On the picture there is a mark on the subject's shirt which looks similar to the sunlit leaves on the shrub behind, as visible to the right of the picture. After much consideration I can only guess that there is either a photographic explanation for this, or that the shadow is in fact a ghost".

Well,  all the ghosts I've seen... I could see right through.  None of my ghost sightings were solid, like that one in the pic they show.

I’ve haven't seen any ghosts yet but I have heard some people say they see right through them and others say that they see them just like a live person. The full article is interesting about how the photo resembled a woman who died in that area.

I use to see ghost or "Things" but only in houses that I visited at times..... I use to have one or "something" in my house now but not any more.....  Lately tho ive been seeing things in the corner of my eye type thingies....  I dont go off much so I dont really visit any new houses much so I cant say that ive stop seeing them, I just do go out much...... I dont want them in my space tho!

The one I use to see in a friends house in Atlanta, would be a shy type and would just peek around the corner until you look full on, then it runs away or disapears.  But friend dont live in that house anymore.

It makes me think that some are just watching us and maybe not a ghost so to speak but maybe a type of handler that keeps eyes on us (Or extension of handlers energy being projected)??????  It use to turn my light on next to the bed.....  But that was when handler was getting me.  Now light thingie dont happen, cept for a few weeks ago, so im alert.......

Hope all this makes sense....

Me too.  Three of my ghost sightings took place in an old farm house I was renting from a farmer that lived next door.  In that farm house I saw:

a.  Sneakers walking next to my bed, three feet off the ground, with NO legs/feet in the sneakers.
b.  A cat hanging with a rope around it's neck (like someone had killed this cat by hanging it).  The cat was in the upper corner of the room about ten feet off the ground.  It was not moving and appeared QUITE dead.  LOL
c.  I also saw an elderly man, he was laying down, seemed to be sleeping (!) and he was in a long sleeping gown w/a sleeping hat on.  He was also in the upper corner of the room, floating about 10 feet off the ground, but lying down.

And there was one other house I *supposedly* saw a ghost in.  I say supposedly because I do not remember the sighting and was only 5 years old.  But when I was staying with my family, at the Whalehead Club in Corolla, N.C., I reported to everyone one morning seeing the "lady in the blue dress".  The lady I saw was supposed to have been the resident ghost there.

Where I live now... no sightings that I can remember (except for something I saw early one morning that was FAR from human)  but we do have a lot of forks flying into the sink without anyone attached to them, trash can lids flying off of the trash cans, pots and pans falling or clanging together, blue beams of light shining out of the dogs water bowl and pennies appearing ALL OVER THE PLACE.

I think what I loved about your post is when you posted you saw them too I didn't feel so all alone out here and I sooooo agree that the ghosts aren't following ME around, it has to do with what *house* I find myself in or living in at the time.  That farm house I lived in... I'd say it was filled to the brim with spirits!

Good post there Sily.  Well, I just wont tolerate ghost type energy around me anymore.  So I would have to work at letting them in if I ever went somewhere that was haunted.  But Im not sure about that last sentence since I dont go off much....However,....  hehehehe....  I might have a project coming up in the next year or so where I Might be involved with some of the haunted ghost tours, but that is still up in the air....  And I was talking about it today with someone.....  Spooooky

Cool!  Now I am interested to see if your haunted house tour comes to fruition and what you think of The Da Vinci Code.

Now I'm in the mood to watch the Code again tonight or The Ghost and Mrs. Muir...   hehe.  :big grin:

Well, I don't remember actually 'seeing' a ghost, at least not that I remember, but I did have a couple of 'experiences' with what might have been 'something.' The first I really remember was living in a townhouse in New Hampshire. There was one small bedroom that I had the two youngest girls in. Well, that closet in there had some kind of 'evil' vibes to it. I hated going in it or putting anything in it. It just gave me the 'heebie jeebies.' Asil always yells at me, because she was one of the ones in there. She was 2 at the time, and my baby, Stacy was about...well, actually, she was born in New Hampshire, so she was there from day 1. There was a time when Lisa...umm...Asil...woke up screaming. When we ran in there, her eyes were the size of saucers and she was practically climbing up the wall screaming that they were coming to get her, they were coming out of the closet. She said they were big black spiders or something. We had to let her sleep in our bed for the rest of the night.

The other things I remember is when my sister Margie died (about 3 years ago), I was back in Wisconsin for the funeral, but since I don't 'do' funerals, I stayed at Margie & dad's apartment. I was doing dishes at about the time when everyone was at the cemetery and I was looking at Margie's rings by the sink and thinking of her, when all of a sudden the clock over the sink flew off the wall and hit me directly on my head. In my heart, I knew it was my sister and she was pissed at me because I didn't go to her funeral. That same trip, I was staying by my other sister's house for a night, and her, her husband and I were just sitting and talking about my mom & Margie, when all of a sudden, one of my sisters music boxes started playing. It played for about 10 seconds and then went off.  I joked that it must be Margie or my mom, and my sister's husband called out: Dorothy, is that you? Damned, if that music box didn't start playing again. it once again played for about 10 seconds and then went off. Well, this really freaked my sister out, because she didn't even know that that statue (it was a Noah's Ark) was a music box. She just got it because she liked Noah's Ark stuff. It didn't even have batteries in it, and it wasn't even turned on. My sister ran from the room and she didn't want to come back into the living room. Both her husband and I told her she was silly, that is was just mom, and mom wouldn't hurt her.

Oh  yeah....there was one other thing. When I had my first baby, I 'felt' like my cousin was there with me. He was only 17 when he died from Leukemia, and him and I were pretty close. I even began talking to him like he was there. But I don't understand what he would be doing there, since it had been 2 years since he died, and I was now in California and he died in Wisconsin. But it sure felt like it was him. It almost felt like he was just checking up on me.
