Media Deliberately Ignores Ron Paul
#1
The link below is a video done by Jon Stewart which illustrates how all of the media is ignoring Ron Paul as a candidate even though he came close to having the most votes of the recent straw pole in Iowa.

The government may be afraid of Ron Paul so the media is instructed to discredit him. He is in favor of investigating the Federal Reserve and reducing government spending. He has been a Congressman for many years and has alone stood up to Congress numerous times to uphold the Constitution.

It's too bad the media is ignoring him because I'd like to see him win.

Me too richard. He is the only one running that has the guts to do whats right for the country.

The problem with politicians is the day they get elected, they start working on how to keep getting re elected over and over. They bow to party lines and the interests of those who can assist them with money and influence in the re election campaign.

Ron Paul stands up for what he believes is best for the country and that makes him unpopular with the people who have influence and who control the media.

I would have voted for him in the last election but he dropped out before the vote.

Respectfully Disagree!

-that kind of thinking is what has got us where we are.

NO politician, lawyer, successful businessman or celebrity will EVER do what is required to Set Things Right.

Ron Paul is a part of the system, an old white man, a mainstream candidate, a republican, and etc.

We need a Selfless Leader with an Iron Will.

Someone like that would never get into office because only people from the good old boys club get elected, so you have to pick from whats offered. My prediction is a republican  will win because a lot of people don't like Obamacare and they blame him for the economy.

Have to agree with Richard. The reason Ron Paul is ignored by the press is because he is the closest thing we have to what we need. The "powers" don't want anyone like Ron Paul because he has stood up to Congress and the press and the Federal Reserve and they can't have someone like that in office. He is not a puppet and has shown that.

Any sincere, honest, flag waver, who cannot be manipulated could never make it to election day. The candidate would be ridiculed, put down by the media, and made to look like a fool (somewhat like they do to Ron Paul).

The Republicans hate Ron Paul because he is an independent thinker rather than a "party" follower so they have joined in the crusade to discredit him. So his own party is dissing him.

And guess what... It's working.

BTW,Q3, have you listened to his ideas. I'll look on you tube and post a link if I find one that shows a good profile of him.

Less than half of eligible Americans are registered to vote.
Maybe 2/3 of registered voters ever do, many of them for the "lesser evil", so half of all registered voters are unsatisfied.
All that is required is for everyone who is not a republocrat drone to vote for the same candidate and he or she Will Win.

We, the People, can elect a completely new government in 2012 if we take responsibility for ourselves, our situation and our combined future.

Yes, and how do you propose to educate the people. The general public, although they complain about goverment, believe in the 2 party system and vote according to party. When a good independant person runs, they all say they don't want to waste their vote because the person can't win and they vote for a ridiculous unqualified candidate because they just have to stick with the status quo promoted in the media.

A good candidate will not get good press coverage. They are discredited and ignored.

The closest thing to getting "we the people" together to return to the constitution and some sanity is the Tea Pary and look at the abuse they get from the media and the other candidates. In the last few days I saw excerpts from speeches of Democratic politicians saying the Tea Party are the real enemies of this country and must be stopped....

REALLY ?????icon_datzicon_fluch

One may not agree with all of their philosphy but at least someone is trying. They worked and got a large nationwide group together and make protests against unfair or unwise practices of the government. I don't see anyone else getting together and voicing "the peoples" opinions. If they are the enemy, it is only to those who fear they may succeed.
