Michigan Oil Spill Among Largest In Midwest History
#1
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/07/27...61196.html

As the Gulf Coast deals with the worst environmental disaster in U.S. history, the Midwest is now facing an oil spill of its own.

A state of emergency has been declared in southwest Michigan's Kalamazoo County as more than 800,000 gallons of oil released into a creek began making its way downstream in the Kalamazoo River, the Kalamazoo Gazette reports.

The trouble began Monday at 9:45 a.m., when an oil pipeline owned by Enbridge Liquids Pipelines sprung a leak in Marshall Township. Enbridge Energy is a subsidiary of Calgary, Canada based Enbridge Inc., the Detroit Free Press reports. According to the company, it is the largest transporter of oil from western Canada.

The cause of the leak is under investigation, and the pipeline has been shut down--but not before it did some serious damage. U.S. Rep. Mark Schauer called the spill the "largest oil spill in the history of the Midwest." Officials are suggesting all water activities in the Kalamazoo River be put on hold until the situation is resolved--and some are fearing contamination of local water supplies:

The Battlecreek Enquirer reports:

Besides the noxious fumes coming from the river, health officials already are worried that the oil spill could have lasting health effects. While he said that the site of the spill was a wetland -- which has a natural clay barrier that prevents water from seeping too far into the ground -- Calhoun County Health Officer Jim Rutherford said there was a concern that the magnitude of the spill could spell trouble for the area's water supply.

"It's not going to show up right now, but over time there is a real possibility that it will leach into the water supply," Rutherford said. "I think it's inevitable that, with as much as has leaked, that it will get into the water supply."

Residents living near Battle Creek and the Kalamazoo River valley have also reported strong odors and oil-soaked wildlife in the area.

Michigan politicians have vowed to hold Enbridge responsible for the spill. Skimmers and booms were deployed at the source of the leak in an effort to contain the spill Tuesday, the Free Press reports.

"I am deeply concerned about the effects of the oil spill near Marshall, including the environmental impact and the disruption to residents and businesses," Michigan Sen. Carl Levin said in a statement. "It is also deeply worrisome that the oil from the spill has made its way into the Kalamazoo River."

Enbridge Energy President Terrance McGill told the Free Press the company would do all it can to minimize the spill's impact on communities.

"The horrific pictures coming in of the oil spill in Calhoun County area underscore just how imperative it is for Michigan to move toward clean, safe energy sources like wind and solar instead of relying on outdated fuels like oil," Clean Water Action Michigan Director Cyndi Roper told the Gazette. "Sticking with outdated fuel will only hurt job growth and continue to harm the health and safety of our communities."

Now We Know It's War

"In Southwest Michigan, a state of emergency has been declared in response to the Kalamazoo River oil spill. At 9:45 a.m. on Monday morning, an oil pipeline began leaking."

Residents are already reporting heavy fumes and oil-coated wildlife along the waterways from pipeline which has been carrying crude from Griffith, Ind., to Sarnia, Ontario. The well has not been shut down. 819,000 gallons have been spilled into the Lake Michigan as of Wednesday morning.  Other experts have put the number at 1,000,000 gallons or more No action is being taken to shut down the well. The fresh water lake is not the Gulf, we are already nearing Gulf concentration proportions. And the oil is passing mixing with toxic chemicals.

"In Southwest Michigan, a state of emergency has been declared in response to the Kalamazoo River oil spill. At 9:45 a.m. on Monday morning, an oil pipeline began leaking."

The oil is flowing through the region of the  Kalamazoo River Superfund cleanup site. The polychlorinated biphenyls, or PCBs found in the superfund site will react with the chemicals that evaporate off the oil. This could cause very dangerous toxic fumes. The EPA has not committed to assistance. The governor has not ordered a shut-down and is only asking for cleanup help -- while the oil is still flowing.

The well is owned by a Texas company, Enbridge Energy -- but who owns that company remains to be seen.

This event, a disastrous spill of unexplained origin, that is poisoning one of the Great Lakes with no circulation other than through evaporation, with all of the pattern of official incompetence boardering on encouragement of the progression of the disaster which we have seen in the Gulf of Mexico attack (yes, both events are attacks on the American people -- they no longer can conceal that they are destroying us by indirect stealth-environmental warfare means, so now they must finish us fast before we can gather out wits, organize and interfere with the plans.

People of Michgan and Illinois and Wisconsin to the west of the lake,  take to the streets and raise their voices immediatlely to force their governor and the federal government to take action.

Begin  massive demonstrations now -- everyone. The militias must realize that their guns are useless. Rothschild-Rockefeller have chosen a chemical attack.    ALready there is going to be a lot of loss from damage already done. Remember, no one has stopped the well yet. This can only be intentional -- letting it happen, like letting the Pentagon get hit on 9-11.

Forget everything you hear on Fox news. Talk to your neighbor about how you will make public opinion known to the world.

The nation must demonstrate all together -- forgetting every difference or race, party, position, religion or any other consideration We must as a nation demand before the eyes of the world that the People of the US demand that the Rothschilds and their criminal allies around the world stop waging war against the American people. Stop this attack on Lake Michigan and stop all other planned attacks against other regions of the US and other countries.

There is not room for questioning. The pollution of Lake Michigan while the posioning of the Gulf of Mexico is still continuing -- makes it certain -- as we became certain that 9-11 was not accidental when the second tower was also hit by a plane. The plan is to poison the heartland of the US -- the populist middle -- the land of militias and ol southern boys who are such good shots etc. Trust you mind -- don't look for truth from Fox or CNN or national public radio. All of those information sources are  in enemy hands and have been for a long time. I am asking you to trust me this time -- and take the action I am asking you to take.

It is the responsiblity of the rest of mankind to stand behind the efforts of the American people -- we are a people of all races and creeds -- to overthrow the criminals who would rule the world with ruthless oppression.

Please do more than simply pass this information on. You must know, you must pass the word, then you must organize and fight and do so immediately.

Mich. oil 'tragedy of historic proportions' military leap?

July 29, 5:51 PMHuman Rights ExaminerDeborah Dupre'

Michigan's Kalamazoo River oil "spill," believed to be over one million gallons, is possibly leading the nation toward both tragedy and dictatorship with military powers of historic proportions under Obama's National Emergency he declared,  now with American troops poised for urban duty  and Canadian troops on 72-hour stand-by. This latest "spill" is possibly a military leap not for mankind, but for New World Order that it serves.

Why the delayed response?

Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm is "sharply criticizing efforts to contain the spill" and warning of a "tragedy of historic proportions" if oil reaches Lake Michigan, only some 80 miles downstream according to AP. The oil is almost half-way there. (Detroit News)

The United States remains under the National Emergency that President Obama declared after the government manipulated H1N1 swine flu ‘pandemic’ data, as Dr. Mercola and NVIC's Barbara Loe Fisher alerted Americans.

At any moment, under today's National Emergency, President Obama could dismiss certain regulations and much more, such quarantine large numbers of people. (See: Ron Paul address to Americans: National Emergency increases president powers, D. Dupre, Examiner, October 29, 2009)

U.S. combat troops were stationed on U.S. soil to "assist" with civilian vaccinations, Since the Gulf oil and Corexit poison operation began, the stated reason for U.S. troop active duty build-up in the Deep South and Costa Rica is to address drug traffic.

Oil gushing from the underground pipeline connecting the U.S. to Canada poses the new emergency health threat, one involving all life in the area, including human. It increases probability that presidential powers under the National Emergency will be used.

Warnings issued to Kalamazoo and surrounding area residents are that "this oil is highly toxic with benzene, a carcinogen, and to stay away from the water - the fumes are strong apparently - and not even to try to help wildlife," according to Kalamazoo resident, Dr. Joetta Carr.

Workers on the scene are very "tight-lipped" according to an Examiner reliable source there.

Time will soon tell whether the Michigan oil spill is yet another step towards U.S.-backed aim of New World Order through the Defence Department's Full Spectrum Dominance.
