Lower mind
LOWER MIND: Reptilian, Limbic area only, sex, fight, fear, anger, malice, hate, revenge, lust, control.
HIGHER MIND: Hemispheres of the brain, right and left. This is the area the CIA and the Monarch programs seeks to control, via the limbic. This is the butterfly - the two hemispheres, when cut in two, resemble a Monarch Butterfly. Mind control is all about keeping your "soul" out of the higher mind and kept locked in place, in the lower or limbic. The higher mind is love, creativity, decency, honor, right relations, parenting, courage, LOVE, family, worship, etc.
The limbic is linked to the lower triad of centers. The sacral and solar plexus, the happy hunting grounds of animal behavior patterns. The Higher Mind, or Christ Consciousness, can only be found when the limbic is put behind in every test, and the higher, hemispheric relied on instead.
This is partly the meaning behind an angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other. Both mental bodies exist within us, the lower-mind and higher mind, set apart and divided into seven sub-layers, just like the human body and its centers. When we listen and act on our urges, lusts, and other reactive mind states, we are giving in to the "devil".
