'Organic' Popularity
#1
Has anyone noticed in the last year or so how popular "Organic" products have become? Most grocery stores by me even have an organic section. I think its a great thing and its not even being pushed by the mass media so I think it goes to show how many people are just "naturally" accepting it.

Welcome to the forum peace seeker. I see you’re an Aries too. Cool

That bad thing about the increase in organic products is the standards keep changing and organic doesn’t mean what it use to.

Here an article about that.

Organic Food Fight

As organic foods grow in popularity, members of the big food manufacturers are eager to get in on the action. But in doing so, some companies have pushed to lower organic standards.

Hi Richard,

Yes, that is true that the standards my change but it least people are being more open to the concept. While my wife and I have really gotten on the bandwagon, we will still eat things that aren't labeled organic but she has started looking for local farm markets and organic farms that help to keep "some" standards.

By the way, I'm in Michigan also, in the burbs of Detroit.

True, it does seem like people are more into organic than they use to.

That’s also interesting that you’re in Detroit. I’ve been out there a few times.

Now we have 3 Aries in Michigan. You’ll have to drop by the astrology forum and vote for Aries and that will put us in a tie with Aquarius. Right now they are winning. :)

Here in the UK Organic Food is the fastest growing market.People do not realise that Organic Food is also GM as well and is sold at higher prices just to get more money out of the General Public. Also, Organic Food 50 years was the norm for all families and now because of the intensive farming techniques used, Organic Food is sold at a premium. Human Beings really need to address their Mind Patterns over this issue.
