Police Forces Dressing In Black To "Instill Fear" In Citizens
#1
Alex Jones made a surprise visit on C2C last night.  I did not hear much of his dialogue but boy, can that man talk!  I have not seen any police officers dressed in black yet but I don't live in a city and I rarely see cops in my town outside of their cruisers.  I'll have to do some checking tomorrow.

No black uniforms in Cincinnati or Lexington. White shirts and dark blue trousers and medium blue shirts and dark blue trousers.

What I found out today is about three years ago when our town hired a new police chief the uniforms were changed to a very dark-blue, almost black color.  Still, our police have little reason to act like the gestapo since there is not a lot of hard crime in this town and so they don't.

I believe studies have shown that people in general have a negative reaction to those dressed in all black. If such a tactic is being  employed by police departments it seems to me it would backfire. A police officer to a large extent needs to be trusted to be influential. I know SWAT teams dress in black in order to blend in shadows etc. and not be detected. The darker blues I would think are a practical choice for everyday work clothes.

Come to think of it there are many local Mennoite women and men who wear all black yet no one is afraid of them. The Amish tend to wear dark colors as well .

I saw a short segment of "Cops" or a similar show last night and they were at Mardi Gras. The policeman who was about to arrest a very drunk man was dressed in black.
