Questions about The Secret
#1
too good to be true. reminds me of tony robbins. granted i haven't seen the video yet, i don't trust it. it's been promoted by the mainstream media big time(they were on larry king tonight for the second time), red flag. just at looking at some of the websites from the creaters of 'the secret' i can tell there's some programming going on...very sketchy individuals, very sketchy organizations..perhaps i will give it a chance, perhaps not.

That's strange. I've seen their video. They don't mention anything specific like prayers, colors, or symbols. These things can cause a lot of trouble if you don't know what you are doing.

But all they said mostly was visualize what you want, believe it is already yours, appreciate it, and then let that go. I don't see the harm in that because you are just using your own mind.

Maybe you're just overreacting?

Ps. I forgot to add that ramtha appears only once in the video. She hardly contributes to anything. But I must agree that the first time I saw her eyes I felt something was wrong with this person and that she should not have been featured. But besides her, everyone's vibes feel okay. There is one or two who feels like they have been thru a lot but they learned to turn their lives around. The rest feels like they have good intentions.

Hmm, I can only trust your words. But I'm okay because the Secret technique is working for me. I just can't ignore the sychronicities and timely luck coming into my life. It's still ultimately up to people to decide if something works or not for them. I think it's very unfair to say that they should consult one person and believe everything he says without trying out for themselves. Unless if this is something they can't be their own experts on, then that's when they should listen to a qualified person.

I’ve watched the secret several times and I don’t see how anyone could consider it mind control. They teach the basic truths about the law of attraction and the power of thought.

I saw part of that Larry King show too. Turned it off after a few minutes out of boredom and disgust. Those guests came across as snakeoil salesmen. Nothing they said was original. Most of the ideas they talked about -- visualization, using the mind to create what you want, etc. -- had been first written about 60-70 years ago by Ernest Holmes, Joseph Murphy, Claude Bristol, and other thinkers. The guests are merely stealing their ideas.

Sometimes I wonder about Larry King as well. He's been married -- what? -- 7-8 times now? Notice that the guests on his television program are there mainly to plug a new book, movie, song album and so forth, never to discuss what they are really like as people and what they want to share about their lives. King and his guests are highly commercial and into product marketing.

Richard,

I know some techniques used in 'mind-control' with regards to certain other groups (rich groups - not just illuminati) and i noticed it used 'once' only in 'the secret'.  It was enough to put me in a huge sabotage alter, however i managed to get myself out of it and neutralise it - i've seen it many times since and my life has changed so much for the better.

Also, i recommend watching 'What the Bleep do we know - quantum edition'.  Its got the sequal embedded into it.

The overall video I believe is not mind-control, i'm seeing things in a different light now with regards to agendas, depends who's reality/dimension you want to be involved in.  I choose my own.

Its amazing that your circle of friends/aquintances and anyone you know reflect your own mind-pattern.

Best regards
Lion

Well...The Kid...I guess you could say it is 'mind control.'  It is you taking control over your own mind.

As far as the other things you said I can only reply - don't put all your eggs in one basket and don't take what one person says as the 'end to all ends.'  You should trust in your own judgment and what feels right to you.  If you don't feel right or want to believe in The Secret, then fine...that's your prerogative. But that doesn't mean that it is wrong for everyone.

The ‘new age’ is a name formed by the illuminati, although they are much more advanced than the average Joe with technology, the new age is merely a name given to the energy of planetary change. This all began in 1956, and has progressed slowly through the new millennium, and will continue until the year 2020. Their control methods can only last as long as the energy, therefore they must continually establish new ways to keep the population controlled. They have tried segregation, religion, racism, wars, poverty/opulence, etc.

The new weapon of defense is truth and drama, yes bombard us with information and see how many of us can separate fact from fiction. The majority can not deal with it, thank you Mr. Pharmaceutical; I will take those anti-depressants to keep me isolated!

Yes, the ‘secret’ is a form of mind-control, the new age weapon against your own capabilities. Sorry Kid, but you have become a victim of new age thinking, why?

Kids quote -
Quote:[too good to be true. reminds me of tony robbins. granted i haven't seen the video yet]
How can you judge or compare something that you have not watched?

The ‘secret’ provides valuable advice to universal laws and energy, as an individual, you are completely entitled to an opinion. All information is divided into truth, lies and the rest is dramatized to feed our current need for reality type events. The most important message that is given throughout this production is that ‘you control your life’ and your thoughts ‘project your experiences’ this is esoteric learning and goes back further than the time when history was first recorded.

The mind-control intention of ‘the secret’ is to continue the doubt that we are victims, and “to good to be true” is the philosophy that they want us to believe, because when doubt starts to enter your thought patterns, it projects that energy, and a month later, your positive has turned to negative, but it really is as simple as thinking different.

There is no one person, book, DVD or belief system that can take you from the problems in your life, because you are the sole navigator and pilot of your destiny and without a goal or destination, your purpose will be a long winding road that never ends.

Lion,

I seen What the Bleep do we know and thought it was good. I didn’t know about that quantum edition and sequel. I’ll have to check that out sometime.

I agree the The Secret video is very good too. I’ve been using their techniques and I’m seeing positive changes in my life. :)
