As I have advised you before, I am the lawyer representing Expansions Publishing Co.,
Inc. and Janet and Stewart Swerdlow.
You have written them an e-mail which was forwarded to me for my comments, asking
for $3,500.00 payment for monies you paid for the OMG.
My clients have indicated to me that for your failure to perform on the Switzerland itinerary and meeting, they will be seeking damages from you. Initially, you indicated that there would be 75 - 100 people attendingt he conference. An ********* was booked and paid for by my clients, however, only four people attended. After your continued representation,t his is a total failure.
The financial loss incurred by my clients during the recent trip to Switzerland was made only because of your invitation, promises and detailed itinerary you provided. Further, my clients will be seeking payment for numerous e-mail and phone consultations regarding your personal and business situation.
Another item about which they are also adamant is your personally maligning and damaging my clients' professional reputation which you have done intentionally. The libel and slander that you are the author of must be stopped immediately and we will seek enforcement.
We will also seek reimbursement for any legal fees involved in this matter.
Therefore, my clients have no intention of paying you anything and only will seek damages from you. At the time you made payment, you were informed by either the website or the paperwork that all items are non-refundable.
If you intend to continue publication of matters concerning my clients on the internet or
by other means,we will only increaseo ur requestf or damages.F urther,i f you pursueo r attempt to pursue the matter as you have outlined in your earlier letter, we may consider that extortion.
You have put a hold on your credit card paymentw hich you should release otherwise,we
will go forward with the credit card company as well.
At this point in time, we are demanding$ 50,000.00 US for all damages in curred to this
moment for your action or inaction. We must hear from you or your lawyer within the next ten(10) days, otherwise, we will initiate further legal proceedings.

Hello? That's a thousand dollars more!!! And it was a "test"??? lolol
And then the letter from their lawyer... look, normally people have to pay in advance to attend a seminar no matter where it's being held or sponsored, so they know indeed the head count. It's difficult to believe that they would fly overseas without having the seminar fees collected in advance by the attendees. Why that didn't happen doesn't matter. THEY went without having the funds secured in advance.
They are terrible trip planners, always blaming so and so for a trip gone bad. It's always someone else's fault because they "trusted" other people when they should have handled things themselves!!! What kind of a business person would trust ANY one to secure funds at the door when it's being held overseas in particular? Think about .. it's negligent, lazy and is always their "out" excuse when a trip turns sour... it's someone elses' fault.
