Teeth
#1
Why does tooth pain hurt so damn much?? I mean, from a mind/body perspective.

If I remember correctly the Swerdlow view has always been that teeth represent the way we adjust to life. So I wonder what it signifies that tooth pain is so severe and involves the nerves rotting away on the inside?

Over a year ago I had an ankle sprain bad enough to be told it would hurt more than actually breaking the ankle - I got through this without pain killers just fine (I never take em normally, I hate the things). But this toothache - I was dosed up to the max and STILL in utter paralysing agony.

The dentist assured me the root canal would not hurt, but 3 injections later (including one DIRECTLY into the nerve) and I'm still in pain! When my dad had a root canal he only needed one injection & was fine, he felt nothing.

I'm just wondering what it symbolises, especially if the tooth is literally dead inside. Any thoughts? (If nothing else I'm sure this will trigger a slew of painful dentist stories!)

I've had a few root canals but they never hurt for more than a day.

I'm not sure of the mind body issue Rob but yes I have a couple of dental horror stories.

I was getting a root canal once as a teenager . The endodontist gave me 7 injections plus other meds and I still didn't numb up. My father insisted  I was being overly sensitive so the doc conducted a little test unbeknownst to me at the time. Then he turned and told my father " She is feeling everything I do. I can't give her anymore medication."

The other story is almost too difficult to post . I was in extreme pain to the point I was literally trying to climb the walls and harming myself. The reason for the pain could not be found and I was hospitalized.Long story short ,a  knowledgable nurse after observing my behavior recommended I be sent to the dental lab for x-rays of a particular area in my jaw. The x-ray showed a tooth that was pressing on a nerve . The Japanese used to torture POW's by pressing on that nerve.

As for still feeling the pain even though the nerve is dead I am reminded of those that have had amputations and can still feel the pain etc. of the amputated limb. This has a great deal  to do with the mind body issue.
At any rate Rob I hope you're no longer in pain.

I could only add rob that teeth also represent in thought energy – how you portion life- teeth have many purposes, and the first one of course is eating, depending on which tooth is giving you havoc can indicate the ‘imprinting’ of the age when you first got that tooth, also the severe pain between body-mind can be the combination of releasing the internal issue, but also the ‘implant’ dying, it can be a VERY painful process when you release an implant through body/mind/spirit.

Every tooth is related to a acupuncture meridian. If you check what tooth it is, you can see what meridian it is related to and maybe draw some conclusions about what problem lies behind.

interesting thoughts, I'll check my chinese books GWSOL. you know, obvious as it is, I never even thought about the eating connection! Astro, what do you mean by "implant"? a non-physical type of thing?

And MN - that sounds absolutely horrendous - I'm now glad mine wasn't quite that bad! Pain is now gone though thankfully.

Firstly glad to hear that the pain has gone.

There are many types of implants that are accepted by the body, and most of them are within nerves and the teeth being so close to the reptilian brain, pineal etc is a perfect place.
