Attention Hyperspace Cafe!
I just had the privelige to attend a meeting at CERN research facility concerning the project update of the Large Hadron Collider! CERN is abuzz at this time in preparation for the actual particle collisions expected to occur in early September (some of the managment team jokingly expected it to happen on September 11th.... I wonder what Illuminati symbolism that alludes to ?), while the particle projections (acceleration of the Hadron/Proton??? particles alone) will happen roughly within one week.
Basically every group in the technical department has a few "kinks" to work out with the Collider components and the Injection procedure itself. There were a few problems with cooling the conducting magnets down to the ideal temperature of 1-2 Kelvin ( so far they have only managed to cool it down to 3K using super liquid helium and there was a problem cooling the magnets to 30K with liquid nitrogen). There were a few malfunctions with the substation power distribution, and the team wants to take precautions about dangerous radioactivity emissions that could occur within the Large Hadron Collider area... I wonder what problems there will be when the actual particle collisions are scheduled to happen in September
The team was concerned about not letting any of this leak out to the press... they don't want to advertise their technical difficulties and delays for the first injection experiment....
I will make another post about the Project Background and Goals of the LHC experiment soon... also I will start a thread in the members section as to how the experiment will tie in with hyperspace and physics, and another thread in the UFO section about what the Kuiper Belt Aliens would do about this experiment.
Please comment/add to this thread as soon as possible!!!
