Thunder Snow
#1
We just had some strange weather here in Michigan. We had “Thunder Snow”. It was a little strange having thunder and lightening while it was snowing. On the Comedy Central they have a show called the “Colbert Report” and he talked about how thunder snow is a sign that God is pissed. P-LOL Anyone who gets Comedy Central should watch the Colbert Report. I think it’s one off the funniest news shows on TV. P-Biggrin

I’ve lived around the Great Lakes all my life and I don’t recall ever experiencing thunder snow before. I did a little reading about it and it turns out that thunder snow does happen every once in awhile around the Great Lakes and other places. Here’s a link for more info.

A few days ago, I experience:

Rain... then Thunder... then Snow... then High Wind...

That was one of the oddest thing!

We had a day like that last week too. I guess all this strange weather is a result of the poles getting hit with ELF. Stewart just did a video about it on Stew’s News. It makes me think we’re in for a lot of usual weather this year. :?

I don't remember any thunder or lightning when it was snowing.

I remember thunder hail on a very hot day last summer with falling ice stones half the size of these:

We’ve had hail storms here from time to time but luckily none that I remember were as big as that picture. I would hate to be in a storm with hail that big.
Did you see Stewart’s news about a frozen tsunami? Can you imagine a wall of ice coming right at you.

Quote:A frozen tsunami, called-- an ivu, hit the west coast of Alaska this week closing roads and damaging the shoreline. An ivu is a wall of ice that rolls onshore like a wave.

Yes, we have little mini-ones in Holland at cold days near large lakes when the wind is strong. These are crawling ice walls.

But, the speed of these frozen things is very very very slow, but they can damage or break a building.
