This video makes a good case for psychopaths being the ultimate alpha males and females, or maybe even Nietzsche's uberman -- well, with a bit of Jung's shadow archetype as well. So is that why they are so represented on government?

Certain traits in personality make if difficult to win elected office -- shyness, feeling guilt, having a sense of shame or even caring too much can all make you weak and vulnerable. However, the psychopath has no empathy, guilt, and is quite charming and analytical. Seems then we should find psychopaths dominating entertainment, politics and the corporate world.
