Your musical knowledge is extensive and wide William. I thought that you might have a 'wide variety of interest' in music because i sensed with your enthusiasm you were an all embracing kind of musical person.Take care.

Hi there William.Unfortunately the band i was in was all a long time ago and there was alot of friction between band members so it all fell apart and no tracks were put together. One of my brothers still does sound production and puts together Video Jockeying film footage for nightclubs and so on but i do not really have the urge at 31 to now go out there and do anything.I still have a very good voice however.Take care.

Good to see some fellow musicians around :)

I bought myself a really nice key board just recently . Its the most expensive thing ive ever bought. The sounds on it are amazing.  I also own two guitars

Im mainly inspired by these musicians who i think are incredible

Sigur Ros

Enya

Dead Can Dance

Lisa Gerrard

Elend

Portishead

Bjork

Radiohead

Tool

Empyrium

Some of these musicians are pretty obscure and none of them fit into a particular music sence which i think is great because i kind of thought that if there is a music sence that is popular, it would have some heavy programming in it. Like the pop sence and so on.

Im very emotionaly attached to music and i use to get worried that i might get triggered. But I think im pretty safe with these musicians since they are not that popular. Plus, i put these musicians in pale yellow and it seemed fine.

Hi William,

I see you're right into music.  Good for you.  I have not heard of David Sylvian  but I've known Larry Carlton for over 2decades now.  I have some of his earlier stuff.  He's a purist if ever there was one - George Benson style but with more finness.

I do prefer my music a little stronger than Larry's though.  I need the bite to feel the might that gives the sight.Wink

Guitarists I enjoy are something like:

Stevie Ray Vaughn

Ritchie Blackmore

Joe Satriani

Tony Iomi (he's special)

Van Halen

Udo Dirkschnider (from the band called UFO)

Rory Gallagher

Robin Trower

Jimi Hendrix

Another band I like that is not very well known is Paice Ashton and Lord (PAL) a sort of temporary offshoot from DeepPurple but alot funkier with considerable Jazz overtones whilst still maintaining bite.  They're unique and good.

Bands/acts I like without too much bite:

TalkingHeads          BloodSweat&Tears        FrankSinatra       NatKingCole

DavidBowie            BBKing                            Edith Piaff           LouArmstrong

EltonJohn               KD Lang                          Lou Rawl             Ian Dury

Aerosmith              Tom Jones                       INXS                    Australian Crawl

Foghat                   Easybeats                       The Seekers        Kate Bush

Free                       Joe Camalleri                  John Diesel           Paul Kelly

BadCompany         ScreamingJets                 AllanaMoirsette    BrianEno

Madonna               RoxieMusic                      DuranDuran          Beatles

RollingStones        George Dalaras               JohnMelloncamp    TheKinks

Tony Bennett:thumbsup:      The Carpenters              JJCale                     LeonRussell

Joe Cocker            Robert Palmer                Dave Mathews       TheHollies

Quote:And to share some things im doing here in life.  I had a musician over today, He is looking to get a Recording deal soon.  He is cross of,  pearl jam, doors, hootie and the blowfish,   counting crows, and others. Real good mix.

This bloke sounds incredible William.  Let us know if he has any albums or CD I can access or download.

CheersSmile
