What do you do with Hyperspace techniques?

Now that I've read a couple of books on Hyperspace and read a lot of posts, I'm still confused as to what you actually do with the techniques. 
Can someone point some stuff out from a viewpoint of a Newbe?  For example...   What is a 'scan'?  How is it used?  How do you get hyperspace sentences? 
The stuff I've read 'assumes' that I know something allready.  I don't. 
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The Hyperspace Helper & The Healers Handbook.

Besides the obvious, healing, I'm kind of at a loss with what to do. For example, one template in Healers Handbook says, "Discover hidden attributes" but the symbol says, "Secret Weapon".
How would I pick a destination/result and go about achieving it? For example, improve my psychic abilities? What would be the process?
I guess I need a more basic place to start.
Ideas?

My degree of success with these Archetypes has been as a result of my taking them before the oversoul for further directives on how they are to be used.
In that respect you may want to place the silver infinity above you crown with the silver line attached into you crown center.
Prior to this ,do the various balancing and respective grounding techniques.
As you get mentally settled and know that the connection is firmly established project the image of the archetype up to the oversoul followed by the question...How can I use this archetype for my unfoldment?
The answer may be dropped suddenly into your consciousness immediately or after a while.Keep up the practice till you are convinced of the answer.
A more impressionable way was to send the request up either 33 times or 144 times.
Patience,Practice and a genuine motivation  will bring very pleasing results...
Concerning Psychic development,most psychic abilities are already in place though dormant and one would have to exercise these faculties alongside using the archetypes.
You may want to pick up some knowledge on consciousness calibration,which will definitely assist otherwise in validation of intuitive responses or  even imagery.
