Donald Trump shocked audiences at this week’s presidential debate with the claim that foreign migrants were eating household pets in Springfield, Ohio, a small town currently reeling under the strain of an unprecedented number of new arrivals, mostly from Haiti. “They’re eating the dogs,” Trump said. “They’re eating the cats.”

Reactions on both sides were spirited. Conservative social media accounts created memes that portrayed Trump, dressed in camouflage, and toting heavy weapons, as the savior of innocent pets. There was even a viral TikTok trend, which chopped up Trump’s speech and set it to dance music. “They’re eating the dogs, they’re eating cats,” the music thumped. “Eat the cat! Eat, eat the cat!”

The establishment media was not amused. During the debate, ABC’s David Muir dismissed Trump’s rhetoric with his version of a fact check, citing the Springfield city manager’s statement that “there have been no credible reports of specific claims of pets being harmed, injured, or abused by individuals within the immigrant community.” Other publications went further, blasting the former president for spreading a “racist smear,” a “century-old stereotype,” and a “cat-eating conspiracy theory.”

So, is there any truth to the charge? We have conducted an exclusive investigation that reveals that, yes, in fact, some migrants in Ohio appear to have been “eating the cats,” though not exactly in the manner that Trump described.

Our investigation begins in a run-down neighborhood of Dayton, Ohio, the closest major city to Springfield, about a half-hour’s drive away. We identified a social media post, dated August 25, 2023, with a short video depicting what appear to be two skinned cats on top of a blue barbeque. “Yoooo the Africans wildn on Parkwood,” reads the text, referring to Parkwood Drive. The video then pans down to two live cats walking across the grass in front of a run-down fence, with a voice on the video warning: “There go a cat right there. His ass better get missin’, man. Look like his homies on the grill!”

We spoke with the author of the video, who asked to remain anonymous but confirmed its time, location, and authenticity. He told us that he was picking up his son last summer, when he noticed the unusual situation. “It was some Africans that stay right next door to my kid’s mother,” he said. “This African dude next door had the damn cat on the grill.”

We then identified the home by matching it to the visuals in the video and cross-referencing them with the eyewitness. When we knocked on the door of the first unit, a family answered, telling us they were from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and that all of the surrounding units were occupied by other African migrants.

One of the residents told us that her former neighbors, also from Africa, had lived in the adjacent unit until last month. They had a blue grill and the father would find meat in the neighborhood. “Her dad was going to find meat,” she said. “Her dad was going, holding a knife.” The current residents also showed us a blue grill of the same make and model as in the video, which the former neighbors had abandoned after they moved out. There were at least ten cats wandering around the complex and another resident complained that they were breeding on the property.

The FBI are criminally investigating Hunter Biden for an array of ‘sickening’ child rape and pedophilia crimes, according to new information obtained by Kim Dotcom.

Kim Dotcom’s X account was suspended last week after he posted a screenshot from Bidenreport.com – a website that published the contents of Hunter Biden’s ‘laptop from hell.’ Kim was responding to an X post from Joe Biden where he celebrated his involvement in the ‘Violence Against Women Act’. Legislation to protect women against violence.

According to Kim, he posted a screenshot that showed the President’s son strangling a woman during sex. Hunter Biden videotaped himself in the act and stored the video on his laptop. This photo and Bidenreport.com have been in the public domain for several years and have been the source material for a Congressional committee investigation against the Biden crime family.

Kim Dotcom reports: Unbeknownst to me the woman in the screenshot is a child that has been abused by Hunter Biden. At least that’s what X claims. Below is a screenshot of the suspension notice I received from X. It clearly states that my post was a ‘Violation of the Child Sexual Exploitation Policy on X’.

I submitted the following appeal to X:

X suspended my account under the ‘Child sexual exploitation policy’ which means X believes that the photo I posted is that of an underaged girl?

But if this photo isn’t of an underaged girl my X post can’t be in breach of your ‘Child sexual exploitation policy’. Is X seriously suggesting that Hunter Biden had brutal sex with a child? That would be a huge story.

If that’s the case I would like to receive evidence of ‘child exploitation’. X is asking me to delete my post and ‘acknowledge that I violated the X rules’. I cannot do that unless X can provide evidence that this is in fact a photo of an underaged girl having sex with Hunter Biden. If not then my post is not in breach of X rules.

For your information bidenreport.com and the photo I posted are in the public domain and have been used as evidence by the Congressional Committee investigating Joe and Hunter Biden for numerous crimes. To the best of my knowledge Child sexual exploitation wasn’t one of them.

I decided that I will not delete my X post (X has removed it temporarily) until after I have received a formal reply to my appeal (still waiting). Deleting the post also comes with an admission that I breached X rules on ‘Child sexual exploitation’ which is a serious matter. I certainly didn’t breach any X rules knowingly.

Now here is where this gets interesting. As many of you know I was the operator of one of the largest user generated online service providers in the world called Megaupload. When we received notices concerning ‘child pornography’ they were always elevated to the most senior staff. The same would be true at X.

Sharing ‘Child sexual exploitation’ content is the most serious offending a user can do. It’s a criminal offense in any jurisdiction and therefore requires the most serious assessment by the most senior abuse team member at X.

I can tell you from experience that X would not have made the allegation that my post contains ‘Child sexual exploitation’ content unless they are 100% sure. Especially because the content in question was created by the son of the US President. In my mind there are only two scenarios of this happening:

1. There is an active FBI investigation against Hunter Biden for the creation of this ‘Child sexual exploitation’ content. The photos from Hunter Biden’s laptop have been shared numerous times on social media. X would have received a notice from the FBI to cooperate with the investigation and was likely instructed to prevent the content from being shared on X.

2. X has been approached by the White House about my post and was asked to urgently remove it. The only way this could be done is by flagging the content as ‘Child sexual exploitation’ because otherwise the photo in question would not be in breach of X rules and the post could not be removed.

I doubt that Elon Musk would go along with option 2 because he’s a free speech absolutist and no friend of Joe Biden who has been persecuting Elon for offering a free speech platform.

Additionally I have emailed Elon about my suspension and provided him with a copy of my appeal. He usually responds to me. Not this time. Which indicates that option 1 is at play and that he is not legally allowed to comment because of an ongoing FBI investigation.

If there is an FBI investigation against the Presidents son for the sexual abuse of a minor then the public deserves to know before the election. Joe Biden is not running for President but if Kamala Harris has knowledge of such an investigation she needs to answer questions.

Especially after 51 members of the intelligence community and Joe Biden lied about ‘Russian disinformation’ regarding the Hunter Biden laptop during the last election.

DAILY CALLER NEWS FOUNDATION—Reports of shoplifting and vehicle theft increased considerably in Springfield, Ohio, following the arrival of thousands of Haitian refugees, according to data obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation through a records request.

The town, which had a population of 58,622 in 2020, has taken in between 12,000 and 20,000 Haitian refugees over the past three years, marking a population increase of between 20.4% and 34.1%. From 2021 to 2023, Springfield also saw a 51.5% jump in motor vehicle theft reports and a 112.8% spike in reports of shoplifting, data provided by the Springfield Police Division shows.

Springfield residents previously told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the influx of Haitians has resulted in an uptick in car accidents, increased housing prices, and strained public services. Bryan Heck, Springfield’s city manager, sent a letter to Democratic Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown, Republican Ohio Sen. JD Vance, and Republican South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott in July requesting federal assistance to deal with the pressure migrants had placed on the housing supply.

Inhabitants of the town also told the Daily Caller News Foundation that they had observed Haitians engaging in sex acts and other vices in public. The Daily Caller News Foundation was unable to verify claims made by the town’s residents about Haitians engaging in public debauchery.

Springfield’s police department declined to comment on the crime data, which does not include information on the immigration status or demographics of offenders.

Springfield had a higher crime rate than the nation at large even before Haitians began moving there in large numbers. In 2019, for instance, the town had a violent crime rate of 493.8 per 100,000 residents, compared to the United States’ rate of 366.7 per 100,000, according to data compiled by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The number of motor vehicle thefts reported in Springfield increased from 324 in 2021 to 491 in 2023, according to police data. Shoplifting reports, meanwhile, jumped from 295 cases in 2021 to 628 in 2023.

Large numbers of Haitians began arriving in Springfield to meet the demand for labor after the city’s chamber of commerce successfully attracted new businesses to the city, according to The New York Times. While the migrants have attracted the ire of some residents, many are paying taxes to support the community.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, a Republican, has set aside $2.5 million to help Springfield deal with the migrant surge and announced last week that he would deploy the Ohio State Highway Patrol to assist with traffic enforcement in the municipality. The issue of poor driving among refugees became a flashpoint in the community after a Haitian national driving a minivan without a license swerved in front of a school bus in August 2023, killing an 11-year-old boy and injuring roughly a dozen other students.

One Springfield resident, a pastor, told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the town had accidents every day as a result of the influx of Haitians. A local towing employee confirmed that there had been an uptick in wrecks.

Police recorded just two reported cases of animal cruelty in 2021 and none in 2022 or 2023, failing to provide evidence for rumors of Haitians stealing and eating residents’ pets. The number of reported murders and assaults in the town went more or less unchanged between 2021 and 2023.

Immigration authorities have had over 7 million encounters with migrants at the southern border since President Joe Biden took office in January 2021, according to Customs and Border Protection data. Beyond small towns like Springfield, the large number of migrants entering the country has caused budgetary strains in major cities like New York and Chicago as they attempt to accommodate the new arrivals, Bloomberg reported.

The Biden-Harris administration awarded Haitians Temporary Protected Status for the first time in 2021 and later extended that designation until 2026, protecting them from deportation and allowing them to work legally. The number of people on government benefits also increased considerably as Haitians moved into Springfield, Reuters reported.

As of April, the Biden-Harris administration had flown over 400,000 migrants into the United States, 154,000 of whom originated in Haiti. The administration halted the flight program after an internal report uncovered rampant fraud but has since allowed it to resume.

“We’re tired—help,” one Springfield resident told the Daily Caller News Foundation when asked what message he wanted to send to the country. “Send help. Help us fix this.”

Field reporter Tayler Hansen visited Springfield, Ohio recently to speak with locals about the alleged Haitian migrant crisis. One of them, a lady who raises chickens, confirmed that she has had multiple run-ins with Haitian migrants trying to steal or "rent" her poultry for food.
"We had a set of Haitians that showed up in the driveway, pulled in, laying on the horn," the lady explained. "They were demanding to rent a chicken."

After the lady told the Haitian migrants that her chickens are not for sale, they "got very angry, very agitated that we would not sell them a chicken," the lady said. "It took my husband to run them off for them to leave."

In another instance, a group of Haitian migrants was walking down the street when suddenly they "dipped under the fence chasing my little duckies here," the lady further revealed.

Ritualistic animal sacrifices?

The internet is abuzz with folks talking about the Haitian migrant invasion from the perspective of major cultural and religious differences. Haitians in particular are known to engage in ritualistic practices that involve animal sacrifices, which does not mesh with popular American culture.

The lady whose chickens have been targeted again and again by migrants says there are definitely some ritualistic practices involving poultry, though one would be hard-pressed to get the migrants to admit it.

"It's not usually a spoken thing; it's a voodoo thing," the lady said. "They do use animals as ritual sacrifices or in different ways."

This report about the chickens is just one among a growing number that contradict what ABC News declared about there not being an animal sacrifice problem in and around Springfield, Ohio.

"I lived in the islands for a few years and I can confirm they use a car horn as a doorbell and steal chickens," someone wrote on X, affirming the claims of the lady in the above video.

"They also mow their 'lawns' with a machete (cutlas or 'machette')."

Another shared the following screenshot with information about how Haitian Voodoo practices involve the ritualistic killing of animals:

"I don't doubt these stories, but why don't we have more footage of this yet?" asked another. "Is Springfield, Ohio, down so bad they don't have iPhone 6 or up?"

"This is what happens when you have open borders and zero accountability," said another. "When will they put Americans first?"

Someone whose ancestry traces through the United Kingdom shared a story about what things used to be like in Scotland as the native culture protected itself against the possibility of house pets getting slipped into food supply.

"When my grandmother used to go to the butcher's shop in Scotland, it was required by law that rabbits still have their heads attached," this person wrote, expressing support for the idea that Haitian migrant abuse of animals is real. "This was so you could ensure that it wasn't a cat."

Donald Trump’s mention of dog eating by Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio gives new meaning to terms such as “Dog Catcher” and “Hot Dogs”, offending the cultural sensitivities of his Democrat critics who aroused a chorus of denial. As a former immigrant rights counselor, I can attest that many Haitians and immigrants from other regions do indeed dine on fresh-killed canine flesh. Throughout the semi-tropical regions of the world,, including the Caribbean and East Asia, canine flesh is considered a tasty preventative for wintertime chills, flu, pneumonia, anemic blood and sexual impotence.

Indeed recipes for dog meat is a traditional part of the medicine chest and dinner table from Haiti to China. As a globe-trotting journalist and educator, I can attest to hearing many doctors and cooks praising the efficacy of the steroid-rich steaks and bone soup of boiled dogs and wild cats – which accounts for missing pets and the disappearance of exotic animals from zoos. Dog meat is especially prized for “warming” the blood during winter cold, storms and rainy season in semi-tropical and coastal nations including Haiti, the Dominican Republic, parts of Central America, the Philippines, both Koreas, Vietnam and China, to mention just a few regions where dog meat is considered a health-giving delicacy.

Other animal species that are consider vermin in European-based cultures are prized for their medicinal powers, including many varieties of snakes (for their fresh gall and roasted meat), nearly every species of reptile, a huge assortment of insects, apes, elephants, rhinos and tigers. A visit to a herbal emporium in Hong Kong, for instance, provides a tour of dried carcasses of mammals, reptiles, wild birds, insects and sea creatures for nearly every human infirmity from fevers to chills.

Then why is the Christian realm and the Jews so squeamish about exotic game used for the medicinal efficacy? The ban goes back to the Jewish orphan/Egyptian healer Moses practicing medicine in an overcrowded Egypt with the single water source – the Nile, which also served as the outlet for sewage, offal and dead animals. Under those constraints for healthy living, all manner of game, reptiles and fish were banned as disease carriers, topped of course by the corpse eating hyena. The sanitary prohibition had nothing to do with God’s will other than to prevent infection by tainted food sources.

Once a land of abundant game, birds and fish, North America is beginning to resemble overcrowded ancient Egypt as a realm of pestilence and plagues. The other factor is the European privileging of dogs as hunting companions, cats as mice catchers and birds for adornment of women’s clothing and hats. These fashions led to domestication of certain favored and useful “pets” and prize creatures such as riding horses, which became a vital part of the national culture. This constrained and eliminated the use of animals for food and clothing, relegating meat consumption and leather working to hogs and cattle – those lesser species or less privileged beasts. Under this hierarchical category the domesticated cat and dog are treated as the privileged royalty of the animal kingdom protected from the ovens and soup kettle. Thus, the very thought of eating a dog horrifies American sensitivities.

Across most or much of the world, however, dog meat is prized as a health restorative foodstuff, especially in regions subject to cold and humid winter winds, including several island-nations in the Caribbean – topped by crowded Haiti with its unsanitary conditions, and also along the western Pacific. Dog meat is considered a standard health-protective fare from the Philippines, Borneo, Vietnam, Northern China and the Korean Peninsula as well as other regions.

Haiti is an interesting case because of its dual French and African cultural mélange. The French colonialists hunted for and consumed a wide range of wildlife, perhaps more species for dining that any other European population. The African slaves in bondage had few if any dietary restrictions from their native communities in Central Africa. Why dog meat? First, the fact that the French introduced the hound to that tropical island, where the species flourished on abundant jungle game. The more compelling reason is the high ratio of steroids in dog flesh (not surprising for a robust hunting creature of great physical endurance and capability for fighting). For humans suffering rheumatism, chronic fatigue and soreness due to the tropical heat, the chemistry of dog meat was a nearly instant cure of human malaise.

The Democrat outcry against Republican candidate Donald Trump for mentioning the rather taboo topic of missing pets in Springfield, Ohio, is an all-too typical example of puritanical aka hysterical response to a real-life conflict between the core values of American sensitivities as pet lovers over missing dogs versus Haitian notions of the medicinal dietary efficacy of dog meat against rheumatism and ague. To his credit VP candidate J.D. Vance insisted on the validity of local complaints from the American perspective of dogs as privileged creatures indeed a beloved part of the family.

The different set of cultural values from poorer parts of the Caribbean and East Asia are basically invalid in this cultural context, especially given the preference for modern medicine versus traditional cure. The Haitians must adapt on this sensitive issue or return to their homeland. Not everyone can adapt to the modern world and that is a matter of personal choice.

Speaking at a press conference Friday in Los Angeles, Donald Trump blasted the Biden-Harris regime for “facilitating the largest pedophile ring in history.”

“But her destruction of the law and order in California did not end there. In 2020, Kamala Harris endorsed ‘defund the police,’” Trump further declared, adding “Anybody that was in favour of defunding the police for one month, let alone her entire career, should never be president of the United States.”

“She supported a plan to cut the L.A. Police Department by at least $150 million, and ideally more. This is when your crime in L.A. was reaching very significant heights. Today it’s at the highest level it has ever been,” Trump further warned.

The FBI said Sunday it was investigating “what appears to be an attempted assassination” of Donald Trump at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, just nine weeks after the Republican presidential nominee survived another attempt on his life. Trump said he was safe and well.

Fox News reported the suspect's name is Ryan Wesley Routh.

The U.S. Secret Service opened fire at a man pointing an AK-style rifle into the club as Trump was on the course, three law enforcement officials said. The person dropped the weapon and fled in an SUV, and was later taken into custody in a neighboring county. The officials were not authorized to discuss the ongoing investigation and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

An AK-style firearm was recovered at the scene near Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach, two of the officials said. And no injuries were reported.

The incident was the latest jarring moment in a campaign year marked by unprecedented upheaval. It occurred roughly two months after Trump was shot during an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania, and a bullet grazed his ear. Only a week later, President Joe Biden withdrew from the race.

In an email to supporters, Trump said: “There were gunshots in my vicinity, but before rumors start spiraling out of control, I wanted you to hear this first: I AM SAFE AND WELL!”

“Nothing will slow me down. I will NEVER SURRENDER!” the former president said.

The golf course was partially shut down for Trump as he played, and agents were a few holes ahead of him when they noticed the person with the firearm, the officials said. There are several areas around the perimeter of the property where golfers are visible from the fence line. Secret Service agents and officers in golf carts and on ATVs generally secure the area several holes ahead and behind Trump when he golfs. Agents also usually bring an armored vehicle onto the course to quickly shelter Trump should a threat arise.

Trump had returned to Florida this weekend from a West Coast swing that included a Friday night rally in Las Vegas and a Utah fundraiser. His campaign had not advised Trump's plans for Sunday. He often spends the morning playing golf, before having lunch at the club, one of three he owns in the state.

The U.S. Secret Service said it was investigating and that the incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. “The former president is safe,” according to the Secret Service.

"The FBI has responded to West Palm Beach, Florida and is investigating what appears to be an attempted assassination of former President Trump," it said in a statement two hours later.

CNN reported: "Officials believe the shots fired at Trump International Golf Club were intended for former President Donald Trump, according to sources familiar on the matter."

Law enforcement temporarily closed the nearby Southern Bridge and Coast Guard boats have moved closer to the residence from adjacent waterways.

Donald Trump Jr. posted on X, formerly Twitter, that that "An AK-47 was discovered in the bushes, per local law enforcement. ... A suspect has reportedly been apprehended."

Sean Hannity, appearing on Fox News Channel, said he had talked to the former president several times since the incident that Trump also told him that an AK-47 was found. Hannity said Trump was still on the golf course, near the fifth hole, when the shooting occurred and was immediately taken to the club house.

"Witnesses were able to provide a description of an individual and a vehicle. We are told that a vehicle that is close to that description has been stopped," Miller said.

The former president has had a stepped-up security footprint since the assassination attempt in July. When he has been at Trump Tower in New York, a lineup of dump trucks have parked in a wall outside the building. And at outdoor rallies, he now speaks from behind an enclosure of bulletproof glass.

Trump was returned safely after the incident to his private Mar-a-Lago club, where he resides in neighboring Palm Beach, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The White House said President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, had both been briefed and would be kept updated on the investigation. The White House added they were “relieved” to know Trump is safe.

Harris, in a statement said she was “glad” Trump was safe, adding that “violence has no place in America.”

In an X post, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C, one of Trump’s top congressional allies, said he had spoken with Trump after the incident and that Trump was in “good spirits” and was “one of the strongest people I’ve ever known."

Martin County Sheriff William D. Snyder said the suspect was apprehended within minutes of the FBI, Secret Service and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office putting out a “very urgent BOLO” — or “be on the lookout” alert” detailing the specific vehicle sought, license plate number and occupant description.

Snyder said his deputies “immediately flooded” northbound I-95, deploying to every exit between the Palm Beach County line to the south and St. Lucie County line to the north.

“One of my road patrol units saw the vehicle, matched the tag and we set up on the vehicle,” Snyder said, “We pinched in on the car, got it safely stopped and got the driver in custody.”

Snyder told WPTV that the suspect "was not armed when we took him out of the car.”

The man had a calm, flat demeanor and showed little emotion when he was stopped by police, Snyder said, saying the suspect did not question why he was being pulled over.

“He never asked, ‘what is this about?’ Obviously, law enforcement with long rifles, blue lights, a lot going on. He never questioned it,” Snyder said.

Attorney General Merrick Garland has been briefed on the situation and is receiving regular updates about it, a Justice Department spokeswoman said.

The post by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office indicated the suspect was apprehended near Palm City, Florida, about a 45-mile drive north of Trump’s golf course. Northbound lanes of I-95 were shut down, the sheriff’s office said.

A message sent to campaign officials seeking information on the security status and location of Ohio Sen. JD Vance, Trump’s running mate, was not immediately returned.

Max Egusquiza, of Palm Beach, described the emergency response outside Trump’s West Palm Beach golf course.

“From what I saw 5 black unmarked SUVs blocked in a grey Mercedes in front of the golf course. There were about 20 or more cop cars flying from nearby streets,” he said.

Trump is supposed to speak about cryptocurrency live Monday night on the social media site X for the launch of his sons’ crypto platform. He’s expected to do that from his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. The former president is scheduled to return to the campaign trail on Tuesday for a town hall in Flint, Michigan with his former press secretary, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, followed by a campaign rally in New York on Long Island on Wednesday.

At the end of the week, he’s scheduled to attend and address the Israeli-American Council National Summit in Washington, D.C. and on Saturday hold a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Rape, robbery, and aggravated assault soared more than 40 percent under the Biden-Harris administration despite claims to the contrary, Justice Department data that the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) analyzed show.

The finding is significant because violent crime fell 15 percent under former President Donald Trump, according to the CPRC’s estimate.

“Despite their fraudulent statements that they made,” Trump said during Tuesday’s debate, “crime in this country is through the roof. And we have a new form of crime. It’s called migrant crime.”

Migrant crime is rampant, according to the Trump campaign:

Rachel Morin, a 37-year-old Maryland mother of five, was raped and strangled to death, allegedly by an illegal alien, in 2023. Her partially naked body was found in a drainage tunnel near a hiking trail.

Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student from Georgia, was savagely murdered, allegedly by an illegal alien who strangled her and beat her over the head with a rock as she was out for a jog.

Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old Houston girl, was brutally murdered, allegedly by two illegal aliens who allegedly lured her under a bridge, tied her up, and sexually assaulted her for hours before killing her and throwing her body into a bayou. One of her alleged assailants was wearing an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) ankle monitor as he allegedly committed the heinous crimes.

Justice Department data found Thursday that violent crime soared under the Biden-Harris administration: Rape increased 42 percent, robbery rose 63 percent, and aggravated assault surged 55 percent, the CPRC reported:

The just-released data from the Bureau of Justice Statistics’s National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) shows violent crime has soared under Biden-Harris. If you look at rape, robbery, and aggravated assaults (the NCVS doesn’t measure murder), between 2016 and 2020, violent crime fell by 15% under Trump and soared by 55% under Biden between 2020 and 2023. The year before they became president and then how it had changed by the either the end of Trump’s president or the latest year for Biden-Harris. Even if you take the starting period for Biden as 2019 or the five-year average before COVID because the numbers may have been artificially depressed during COVID, violent crime rose by 19% (see graph below).

Under Biden, rape soared by 42%, robbery by 63%, and aggravated assaults by 55%.

If you pick 2021 as the base year for comparison for Biden-Harris, though that makes them responsible for any changes that have already occurred during the first year of their presidency, the numbers are virtually unchanged, with the exception of aggravated assault, which is up much more under this measure. Violent crime is up 55%, rape up 42%, robbery up 53%, and aggravated assault up 67%.
