Iââ¬â¢m finally back online. I donââ¬â¢t really know what happened to my old computer. Everything was fine when I turned it off Tuesday. When I turned it on Wednesday it started up and then flashed some kind of warning. It was so fast that I couldnââ¬â¢t read it. It then restarted is disk check mode and started deleting tons of files. When it was done it tried to finishing loading but it never did. I tired restarting it a few times but it would never finish. I tried all kindsââ¬â¢ fixes and recoveries but nothing worked. It wouldn't even let me reinstall Windows. I ran an antivirus check and found nothing. No spyware either. icon_confused
I figured some components must be failing because I had to replace the hardrive a couple of months ago. So I decided the computer probably wasnââ¬â¢t worth fooling around with anymore and I decided to replace it. I was planning on getting a new one when the new Windows came out because I knew my old computer wouldnââ¬â¢t run it but this forced me to do it earlier. I found out this is a bad time to try and buy a computer because back-to-school students wiped out all the stores around here. After tons of running around I found a one that should do well for the next few years.
Now I have the headaches of reinstalling all my software from the old computer. Itââ¬â¢s a double sized headache because I just went through this a couple of months ago when my old hardrive failed. icon_doh
It does seem coincidental that Karen, Monica, Weng and I have all had major computer problems recently.
Anyway Iââ¬â¢m glad to back online.
