HELP (MICHIGAN) !
#11
Acceptancedchange Wrote:Aha! The great MC. So that's interesting, it isn't just your average Hyperspacecafe member who is cynical of the Swerdlows. But I am curious as to exactly why...

I have considered the fact that the Swerdlows could just be setting a huge scam, but they are not my only reason for Michigan. I don't see why Michigan, being wonderful as it seems is a wrong place.

As for Tasmania, it's in Australia, so I am skeptical it is a best place... Anybody have positive reinforcements as to what Stewart said about it in his book?

Thank you for your time and advice
:D  not cynical, just the truth.Sometimes, people are not the way they seem.I have nothing against them personally. No negativity whatsoever. When you decide to relocate, you also have to think about what you're going to do there. How are you going to make a living, and the US is not the glorious US it once was as far as employment goes.I don't recall Stewart saying anything about Tasmania in his books, but maybe I'm wrong.

If only there wasn't so much talk about earthquakes and California being unstable then yes, getting out of town would be enough.
Yes I do want to get out and see the world, family troubles or not.
It seems like all my friends live in Europe, but I'm going to go through all of them again and make sure; haven't really kept close contact recently.

I don't plan to leave and never again speak to my family. Besides they're not all bad.
Our families know us more than anyone else, however much that is - and it is generally easiest to be ourselves around them. If they were not important, the agenda wouldn't be trying to screw it all up.
But my father, being as he is now, is impossible to work with. When the time comes I will work through whatever I need to work through with him and completely move on.

Why thank you William, I know some people who might not say the same ^^

The protection techniques the Swerdlows promote work, however, right?
Yes I certainly have ideas.
But sometimes you need to go into life without any net to catch you and come out with the best of it.
I think what Janet said about we will always have what we need is true. Because we'll be needing/wanting/thinking about it, we will attract it.

I think it was in True Blood Blue Blood, he was talking about how Australia is remote and it's just like a big desert and with the people tending to be towards the borders of the continent it's ideal for testing/experiments.

Yes,that's true about Australia. The protection techniques they promote, are for beginners. They never taught what they should have taught. So much for being spiritual.I would strongly suggest that you get out of California. It is a ticking timebomb waiting to explode.

Acceptancedchange,

Leaving home at your age without money or a job nowadays is simply a recipe for distaster.  Instead of trying to find someone who is willing to ride you for whatever reason it may be, I would suggest you find a job first and then move to where it is, be it within the States or abroad.

Your asking the wrong questions in the wrong place, you should be asking what jobs are available at a large and reputable personel agency.  Once you've worked and saved some money then you can start looking at where you'd like to live and then find a job there before moving.

Fair warning.

Quote:Astrojewels makes Tasmania sound like a place I would like. Someday I’ll have to check it out.

Tassie has awesome wilderness Rick, one of the wildest and cleaness places on the globe.  If you see it in the flesh, I know you'll love it, but don't be thinking that you'll like its weather.  Winters there are very cold, very windy, very long and quite wet.  You'll freeze your nuts off, unless you can find a place to settle in the north east of the island where its winter's are more like Victoria's... and I'm referring to a small area close to the coast of that NE tip of the island.  The people there though, in fact all over Tassie, may drive you nuts or you may not like them.  They're ummmm... strange.   Whenever we bump into anyone strange on the mainland who we don't know, we often ask if they're from Tassie, many put it down to excessive inbreeding over the decades.icon_lol   Go live there and you'll see what I mean... then you'll understand why Karen and I live in Victoria.icon_clownLOLOL  btw... just 20minutes further SthEast from where I live begins what's known as the Gippsland region - 'West or SW Gippland' to be more exact.  It is always cooler there ALL year round than it is in the entire Metropolitan area of Melbourne which almost extends as far south as I am.  The topography of it is fantastic.  Large undulating hills with semi-cleared land that is eternally green with the richest looking pastures in the state and water streams galore.  Like a cool temperate hinterland Rick, it's quite stunning. There are numerous beautiful large towns along the main highway as you drive through that area, and they're relatively close to southern Metro-Melbourne which is just north of where I am... 5minutes in the car north from me and you're in southern Metropolitan Melbourne.  But it's another 45minutes north to the CBD.  Metro Melb is outlayed like Bangkok... it's a huge area, not just a city.

But it's all talk Rick, until you come down to see it yourself, you'll not know what you're really dealing with irrespective of what you hear or what pictures you see of the place.  You may love it, you may not, only you can decide ultimately.  Personally Rick, if I was to make a move from here, there'd be only one place I'd go to... somewhere around Perth.  Southern WA is simply out of this world.

Well, that doesn’t sound good about Tasmania. I don’t want to deal with any cold weather. It sounds like I’ll have to check out Gippsland instead. Cool

lolol  I thought you'd like that Karen.  Here's a Tasmanian jokes I saw on the net...
Quote:Tasmania: Population: 40,000. Surnames: 12
The puns are endless.  Generally speaking I just find your average Tamsanian to be somewhat reserved, which many may take as them hiding something... perhaps they are?LOLOL

Forgot to add about Perth Rick... I find the people there are generally amongst the best natured that I've come across in all of Australia... though I haven't been to Darwin in my entire life and never will...far too 'humid and hot' for me, just like Kuala Lumpa's clime, SUPER tropical, real equatorial.    They have a real 'down to earth' nature about them that makes your average person living in that remote country we call Queenslandicon_whip look like a Martian. To give you a better idea... Qld has the highest head per capita of rednecks in the land - Redneck Wonderland.  You can tell them by the stench of pork that pervades the air even as they approach.  NOT all Queenslanders, just the majority, and that's no joke.  Some of them are as fine a people as you could ever wish to meet.  It never ceases to amaze me wtf they're doing there???  Like finding a Koori in Toorak.icon_schiefguck  ... don't worry Rick, that's an injoke.lolol

Acceptancedchange,

Sail the 7seas and get well paid whilst doing it.  This is an 'out' for you that I suggest you think about seriously.  You'll be able to leave Cali, have a job, save money, experiance adventure, visit parts of the world you never even dreamt of, live in a SAFE enviroment away from possible evil people that may take you into their homes without letting you realize their true intent and the rest of it.  You'll be able to get a real life here:

http://www.cruiseshipjob.com/seacloud.htm

Look around that url... you'll find links to a plethora of other companies looking for people to work on ships.

Beats moving into someone elses home who you don't know and cannot possibly trust till they show you their true colors, it also beats having to clean their crap for years and being their slave without being appreciated or worse.

You have more options than you may realize, seize the 'oppurtunity' while you can, it waits for NO ONE.
