They came to Benton Harbor Michigan in 1903 hoping to usher in the 1000-year reign of the Messiah on earth. Most of the members wore long hair and beards and believed that they were a part of the re-gathering of Israel. Some of them believed that they were the descendants of the Jewish race. They built incredible buildings that resemble castles. The architecture is classy, and the wealth it must have taken to build such buildings is staggering. The need to build was so great that the members bought an island with a mill on it to fill their needs. The island is on Lake Michigan and is called High Island. A small group of members is still on the property in Benton Harbor. 

The [/size][/color][color="#000000"][size="2"]House[/size][/color][color="#000000"][size="2"] of [/size][/color][color="#000000"][size="2"]David[/size][/color][color="#000000"][size="2"] is about 20 minutes from here and I’ve was there a few times when I was young because they had an amusement park there. We also have one of the worlds largest populations of Adventist and they are considered a cult by many people. David Koresh of Waco incident was a Adventist and he used a lot of their teachings in his cult. A lot of his followers were also from the Adventist church.

Hello,
I am 17 as of this summer. I am not 18, but I need to get out of this place.
It is not physically or mentally healthy.
In fact it is physically dangerous.
And not just because of my father's temper.
But because of the California quakes.
I feel I am outgrowing this place and it is about time to move on.
I have also wanted to go to Michigan because of its great location and resources.
Stewart and Janet Swerdlow are also there, so it would be easier to attend seminars, receive personal consultations, etc.
Help/support would of course, be wonderfully appreciated.
So please if you can, lend a hand. ;)
I ask, have you ever wanted roommate?
If you don't want a roommate, but are curious to help, but want to make a deal...
I could clean, wash dishes, do laundry, etc to pay you back. I could even get more used to cooking/gardening, etc...
And to those of you who are interested in other help, whether that be helping with Hyperspace work in any way I can, support, understanding, shoulder to cry on, I would be glad to do these things also.
Or maybe you just want me to do my thing and you to do your thing. You wouldn't even need to invite me to Holiday dinners, if you don't like - if you do those.
If I need to go to Michigan before I am 18, which I might not need, then I could work under the table jobs (grass cutting, dog walking, baby sitting, house cleaning, fence painting, etc...) so you might not even need to spend extra on food, if you are still concerned, financially.
When I am 18, if it is wanted I could certainly get a job.
I am also great at attracting money.
If I cannot pay you back or return the favor by helping YOU in any way, I would in the future.
That is, if my gratitude and what I have to offer (the experience of having me, whatever we may learn) is not enough.
And if it is, well, then, that'd be great!
Particularly if you have gotten to a place where you are well off financially AND are willing to have me!
Then things would be sure to go smooth, as I would say I am accepting of all and could get along with anyone.
As long as it works, it doesn't even matter to me, whether you are quite young, quite old... As long as you aren't with the not-so-secret society!
I have optimism, strength and courage.
So my attitude is not negative. And will be less likely to attract negative things.
I am also actively improving upon myself - more confidence, less victim-ness etc...
I can easily respect others' beliefs, or learn to, whatever they are (unless you work for the not-so-secret societies, of course :D)
So what kind of people from Michigan would be okay with me moving in?
Do you have a spare room, garage space you've always wanted to clean out, a basement - a cleanable attic??
Who would have this opportunity open just now, who just in the future? Who would have the opportunity open both now and in the future?
Because I am not saying I am setting off to Michigan this instant; I rather examine the options and see if someone is willing to help, and see if and when help is readily available.
I could go to Michigan, or someone could pick me up.
I don't have to be picked up right in California, where it's dangerous, but at least I don't live in South CA, where it is more dangerous.

They stated clearly that they want only people who could support themselves. That means that they need people from whom they can make money and hire to do their dirty manual tasks and chores. In other words that is called a sect.
Michigan is a very bad place to choose to move because without money and job most likely you will have to spent many times sleeping on the open, and Michigan has a very cold climate. And you don't want to find yourself out on the cold. Choose some warm climate. It makes the life much easier.
Finish your education, or find a job, maybe some on the cruisers and such thing.
And about California to be physically dangerous is nonsense. A person could always be hit by a car independently about where are they living.
Good thing is that S.S. predicted something like this, because his predictions usually do not come true. He predicted constantly about the end of the world some 2000 years ago, and we are still waiting :D

You don't know my so called father. Referring to his problem as 'temper' would be putting it mildly. I might have even come to thinking anyone would be better than him - I might not be the only one. And no one should be put in the position of having to deal with others' tempers - especially if it wasn't necessary in some way. Like learning/gathering from experience for example.

When referring to Stewart or Janet I inserted the word 'also' which meant it was not the primary reason I had my eyes on Michigan. Perhaps your eyes should be a little bit more careful?

Back to AC-(your other name is way to long for me). Just like anything else you do and learn start with small steps and begin asap. If you are on the right path it will lead you where you need to go next and the information you need will be put in front of you.
Be aware and Be aware of triggers from other people. This will hold you back.
If you need out of your present living arrangement--look for a room mate somewhere in your area-I know of many your age who have done this, held jobs, and attended school or prepared for the High School Equivalency test.

Okay, I guess that is fair, but so is the fact that whether I need to graduate or not - and this of course I already know - that still doesn't give you an excuse to be inhumane. I have no idea where your frustration comes from, perhaps from your current work and the patience it requires.

Speaking of which, I am frustrated rather than afraid of the CA quakes. I haven't really found anyone looking or willing to move out of CA. Perhaps because they, wrapped up in the ideas of California dreaming think they could not find as much delusional happiness elsewhere? I can't help but think, why are people so stupid? But I already know the answer to that.

Perhaps it has more to do with it than I think, in vague ties to bigger parts of my life. I don't think of myself as an Asian, but we all choose our families for a reason.
