Happy Birthday America: A Bunch of Spoiled, Whiny Brats
#1

The American executive and legislative branches of government are in dire need of an aggressive purge in the form of a no-confidence referendum. Unfortunately, the American people have no such device to rid themselves of desiccated people and the interests that tell them what American national policies should be. More’s the pity, presidential candidates Barack Obama (D) and John McCain ® have merely repackaged the status quo and are selling it as new-face-equals-new policy. None of it adds up to change and, no matter who is elected as president or which party controls congress, odds are America will be on the same course towards more war, more economic pain, more infrastructure problems, and more security intrusions into the daily routine.

There are fundamental flaws not in the constitutional construct of the United States but in the people who are occupying positions in at least two of the three branches of the US government. The executive and legislative branches, according to polls, are sincerely reviled and that means both Republicans and Democrats get equal measure of disgust. But the two parties and their interested backers simply don’t care because they know the American people have no choice but to vote for one or the other. And so the game is all about the two parties entertaining each other and those top few percent of Americans and American corporations that control over 90 percent of America’s wealth.

At fault in it all are the American people who like the main character Wesley Gibson in the thrilling movie Wanted, is willingly tied to a chair and takes punch after punch in the face until he finally “gets it.” But America today is no movie where the main character recovers. The American people need to suck it up and stop taking sucker punches before they have no blood left to bleed.

Americans need to stop listening to the myths they’ve been fed. America is not the shining light on the hill but it is an equal member of the world community.

Yes, there are foreign competitors out there and they are as good as the Americans in manufacturing, computing and aerospace. So Americans should compete with them or become part of their business systems. In this Olympic year, it’s worth noting that Americans hold just six world records in track & field competitions. They hold none in weightlifting. Americans are fat and lazy.

Americans are crying about gas prices. A pity they can’t buy as many hot dogs or beers at the baseball stadium. They need to adjust and adapt. Americans have always been told that they are the best at everything, so why aren’t they? Americans are not entitled to anything more than the rest of the world. Do they want education systems, roads, bridges and levees that function properly? Well then they need to stop whining about taxes and pay up or make those who pay nothing pull their weight.

Do Americans really want to continue the war in Iraq and go to war with Iran and Syria - and destabilize Turkey and Pakistan - for natural resources and Israel? Well, then do it! Activate selective service, militarize one million Americans (women too) and invade ‘em all. If Americans were as tough as they think they are, they’d get it done and damn the suffering of the military families and the maimed in action. Onward with torture! Medals for Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld!

Do the American people even want the government of Jefferson, Madison, Adams, et al? With the privatization of the civilian and military functions and with their states selling off bridges and roadways for money, it seems they find government of any kind is too much of a burden. Americans really don’t want to pay for anything and they are not accountable to or for themselves (witness Katrina). Forget the Darfur crisis. As sorry as that is, take a look at what the Americans have done in Iraq: millions displaced internally and externally and disease widespread. Americans raped Iraq and remain non-penitent for their crime.

Happy Birthday America! The founders would be appalled.

4th of July - Nothing to Celebrate

Source: Pravda.Ru
04.07.2008

As Americans gear up for the 4th of July, one wonders what there is to celebrate. Many families have canceled travel plans due to the high prices of gas. The new and ridiculous airline regulations regarding baggage also present another major challenge to would-be travelers. The airline industry is already hurting and this may end up seeing the end of yet more airline companies. This "holiday" usually begins the summer travel season.

The economy is in a stage that could more properly be referred to as "death rattles" as families lose their homes to foreclosure, the price of food goes through the roof and yet the "cash" continues to flow outwards to the continuing destruction abroad in Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan with no end in sight as the US Congress just approved yet another ridiculous war spending bill against voters’ wishes. Yet social programs are pathetically inadequate and universal health care non-existent.

The US also has the distinction of being one of the most hated nations in history alongside Hitler’s Germany with the interventions, arrogance, death and destruction the empire has perpetrated around the globe. The Patriot Act and surveillance for domestic and foreign "terrorists" has eroded all the freedoms supposedly gained by the founding fathers, and these same founding fathers would not even recognize the monster the nation they founded has become.

So this date of infamy might be better spent on reflection of what happened to this still young nation. Where did it go wrong and what must be done to change it? The world remains optimistic that somehow, some way, Americans will smarten up, wake up and do something about the country they think exists, but really doesn’t. The corporate elitist media still largely has them in a haze of unreality…a sad situation.

Big Brother is alive and well in the USA.

I find this article amusing in light of  Russian history and the number of Russians and Russian mob members immigrating legally and non legally to this country. Let's not forget the many Russian/Chinese troops hidden within waiting for the signal(trigger) to attempt a takeover with the aide of 2 million programmed Mexicans. Interesting there was mention of perhaps having to call in foriegn help to fight the deliberate Kalifornia fires.

pravda.ru... an agent  in the continuation of the demonization of the United States so we can be liberated like Iraq.

Wake up people.

I thought it was interesting how some Russians view America. Some of what they see is true.

Of course it is Richard. And much of what we saw in Iraq was true. Saddam did poison his own people.

May I suggest a good read that's free online:

http://reactor-core.org/none-dare.htm

A Japanese general once said that you can't invade America as" there will be a gun behind every blade of grass." Nikita Kruschev is said to have remarked to Kennedy that the United States will be taken over from within ,hearts and minds. In other words sold out, many forms, among such as distracting  specific people from waking up by having them pay thousands of $$$$ to Abandon All Ye Hope  gurus to be kept in line by plastering symbols on their pineal (hmmm..wonder where Charlie and family learned that?) for tweaking programming and reprogramming to keep them in line and provide the Illuminati/Satanists /gurus/agents big  $$$$ so they can flee to the south of France when the ***t goes down.
I'll bet those agents have been promised everlasting life(the Ankh) for their work by their masters via a new meatsack when they die.

I've said it before, here at this forum, but I check pravda.ru frequently.  I love it!

It reminds me of:
  1. my Lithuanian heritage.
  2. a long ago passed on relative that used to love to read the trashy mags, smoke her cigs and drink her Coke.
  3. Anastasia of the Ringing Cedars.
  4. That some new ideas and truth might be found at times in the craziest of places.  Think: that ending scene in the 1st movie M.I.B. (Men In Black) where the gossip magazine is talking about *aliens* on Earth.

MN,

I agree with what you’re saying about taking over our hearts and minds but there’s a lot of truth to their articles. Like Sily said you find the truth in the craziest places.

Sily,

I use to love cigs and Coke too. I also loved reading the Ringing Cedars books. I never read anything quite like them before. I would love to live an enchanted life like that. Cool

COINTELPRO.  Yes, just enough truth to fool people. Reminds me of another Russian I know of.

I have 7 of the books but have not read all of them yet.  There's time in the future, I believe.  :)

I haven’t finished all the books either. I have a hard enough time just keeping up with the daily news. It will probably be winter by the time I finish them. I have more time in the winter for reading then I do in the summer.

Glad you liked the new avatar. I liked yours and it inspired me to change mine to something similar. Cool
