It took me 7 or 8 times to fully grasp it. I think it is easy to understand but harder to apply in everyday life?

Yes, It is hard to grasp in everyday life, as you often battle society and desire, so you may want to change jobs or work for yourself, perhaps you have a creative talent, yet the ‘need’ to have an income takes away free time for you to set up your own business etc.

The only thing that the secret does not talk about is individual programming and all of us have to find a balance within our minds. If you want to use the secret as a guide for the things you want, you must begin with why you want them or you are universally just setting yourself up for some serious karmic energy.  

The mind is an amazing tool to the human, yet most of us let others control it; control it by everyday patterns of habit. Having coffee with a friend, reading the newspaper or watching the news, all these things influence our thought process and structure a pattern of being guided by others ‘suggestions’.  

We all need social interaction and other people advance our own awareness.

Why do you want money? To make your life easy?

Why do you want a big fancy car? So others will look at you and think wow he is doing ok or they will be envious.

You must apply your reasoning behind your desire, because in reality everyday each of us are getting what we want, you may say “no way” I did not ask for this life but you alone have structured it to what it is today by your thoughts being put out to the universe.

Most of us do not know what we really want, we just want something more than we have, so we will get that something.

The two greatest energies that surround the human are hope and fear, both are uncertainty and energy of maybe.

Begin with something you are confident you can change, write down the desire and the purpose of that desire and it will come.

Let me share a true story of someone who had a desire. A woman who has five children had an old beat up van, she told me she wished she could get a better car, and I asked “why”? Her first response was she was tired of other people looking down at her, her car made her feel poor and she was not. Her husband had a medium range job and they were doing ok, but a new car was not affordable.  

So I asked her to write down the car she would like, and change the reason why? she changed her opinion, and desired the new car on the fact that the old beat up van was not safe for her children and they were limited to go anywhere as a family.  She let go of the thoughts that plagued her mind because no one ever said to her “you must be poor, or your car is this and that…” it was her own evaluation.

To make a long story shorter! Once she focused on what a new car would provide, it was not long before things began to change, she did not win lotto or a new car, but her husband was given a promotion which included a company car, so this took away the running cost of his car. So they sold his car and traded that old van, so they did not get some magic wand waved over their life, their life just took a twist so her honorable desire could be achieved.  She got what she wanted even to the make and color of the new van. She told me she was very surprised at all of this and was extremely happy and felt so good about herself.

I wanted to share this to show that your desires may not be delivered by the fed X man, or a leprechaun out in the garden, the universe will twist your current reality to merge with your thoughts, but your thoughts must be focused and without uncertainty, no doubt and especially no self-criticism.

I agree..most people do not know what they want.  

I did as you said and I started with small changes. This is the only way I could apply the law of attraction as I knew why I wanted to change it.
