:-(

According to a few EU news the meltdown of the reactor core has started. Unfortunately I have found no English link yet.

Maybe that will do:

Others say meltdown is unlikely (hope they are right):

I haven't found other sources to confirm this info but thought  you might want to consider this and take  necessary precautions.

Meltdown Caused Nuke Plant Explosion: Safety Body

TOKYO (Nikkei)--The Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency (NISA) said Saturday afternoon the explosion at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant could only have been caused by a meltdown of the reactor core.

The same day, Tokyo Electric Power Co. (9501), which runs the plant, began to flood the damaged reactor with seawater to cool it down, resorting to measures that could rust the reactor and force the utility to scrap it.

Cesium and iodine, by-products of nuclear fission, were detected around the plant, which would make the explosion the worst accident in the roughly 50-year history of Japanese nuclear power generation.

There's a real problem now. All three reactors are in meltdown.

I'm surprised no one on here has stated something obvious about this earthquake. That it was HARRP induced. I've heard of things like it raining without clouds before the event. As well, Japan has been threatened before in the past by such, and if you follow the money/results because of this, it'll look as artificial as it is. The only natural things were the Tsunami, the devastation, the reactor problems, the radiation, the death's,the distraction from what's going on in the middle east/Libya, the volcano that's just gone off,and the after effects.

As far as the reactors, yes they are in a bad way. however with the conflicting statements coming out, and the apparent move to downplay what's going on with them,[ as no one can get close enough to confirm or deny], it's a crapshoot as to how bad it really is, and will be. I'm not saying it couldn't be worse, as it develops, but I can't agree that everything's okay fine either.

That it was HARRP induced.

I think a few of us thought about that right off. I dont have enough proof to say it though. And out of respect for the damage i think most of us did not want to say it.

Anu, what your saying does make sense. I only wish it was not true. No matter what, it is affecting the entire world. Some of us here have business dealings with the Japanese culture so some here are affected personally. Some of us here are affected emotionally also.

What anu said should be pointed out.

There's a website that I read daily called www.urbansurvival.com. George Ure, the author, has some contacts in Japanese media that confirm that not only Japanese, but international media, is covering up the direness of the situation.

If you have a chance, look at this page today. And if any of you are familiar with Clif High's web bot project, Clif is George's partner. So you'll see some of the verbiage of the Shape of Things To Come report in George's daily blog. It's really helpful in understanding what's possibly coming.

Today's Urban Survival blog is a bit abbreviated on the Japan disaster, but if you scroll down to yesterday's, called "Albino Black Swan Ahead?" there's a great deal of important information in there.

I'm not so sure it was HAARP. The solar flare theory sounds pretty good.
