Comet Elenin appears to be made of Hydrogen Cyanide , according to Leonin Elenin, which accounts for the Comet's 'bitter almond' 'smell'. Hydrogen Cyanide is extremely toxic and lethal to human life.

Just a little side comment I would like to make. Who here is smelling comets? Reminds me of Prof. Hubert Farnsworth's 'smelloscope'. :)

Well, he's my hypothesis. I've heard the Illuminati has technology that can either push or destroy comets, so if this comet posed any threat to us the Illuminati would just destroy it.

Other than that, if the Illuminati do have such technology, the logic thing to do would be to destroy or push the comet away from earth. They would have to show; however, that their technology is more advance than they have admitted until now.

I have both seen and smelled the Milky Way Galaxy on a clear night in the Canary Islands a long time ago now. I don’t know how Mr. Elenin does it, and maybe he’s a KBA infiltrator in the first place?

Maybe there are other chemical reasons for the compound, in reaction with something that creates something else etc. that hinders this and that from occurring in the solar system. Who the fu*k knows, and maybe it’s all just ELF anyway. LOL!

I think the article talks about a scent which is merely assumed, but nobody actually smelled that comet. Also if the Illuminati just buggered off and everybody died, it would no longer matter since we'd be all dead. So either way, who cares? Sorry for the cynicism.
