It has been said by some that objects can hold energy - both good and bad. The mirror is an interesting example. Every day, people are looking into their mirrors, sending various waves of thought unknowingly into the object. The mirror then retains the imprints of these thoughts throughout the remainder of its life. This can be a problem.

Good article Richard,
I have mentioned this before and I do agree with it, especially for those who have a love for antiques and purchase antique mirrors, mirrors allow you to see the physical reflection of who you are. Some become dependent and very addicted to physical reflection. This is how the energy finds its way into the mirror; those who seem obsessed with looking at themselves, and then they begin to look at different facial expressions and finally stand there and have conversations with their reflection so they can observe how they look when socializing.

I'm sure there's a way to cleanse mirrors like there is for crystals.

GB, you got me wondering if mirrors could be cleansed and I did a search but didn’t find anything yet. However I did find one thing that was interesting.

One of our Presidents found information through mirror visions. During the evening of the Presidential election of 1860, Abraham Lincoln reclined on a couch, and looked over at a mirror. There he was shocked to see a strange double image of himself. In one image, he looked like he was, and in the other, he looked pale and ghostly. Lincoln shared this experience with his wife who predicted that the first image meant that he would be re-elected to a second term, and that the second meant that he would die in office. As we all know, her interpretation proved to be true.

    Weird that the past DR Who tv show ---  The Dr put someone into a mirror for eternity.

I would think one way to clear a mirror is leave it in  sunlight prefably outdoors and if possible covered in sea salt for one to three days.The sea salt may corrode the silver on the mirror so I would cover with a new clean white cloth first. Selenite would help as well perhaps taping it to the back of the mirrior.

GB, Crystals can be cleansed because of the natural energy they resonate, mirrors contain energy through thought and reflection, these two objects are very different indeed but I like your ideas MN. Richard that is interesting information and something I would certainly believe from that time. William I am not 100% but wasn’t superman also put in a mirror?
There is a technique performed but it is related to black magic and I certainly do not recommend it to anyone who is sensitive as it may affect in a negative way. In a dim lit room, stare at your own eyes in the mirror, and you begin to see your face change, it is said that these are the faces of your past lives, but it is very spooky and gives you chills.

I’ve tried that with mirrors and nothing ever happens for me. Years ago I even bought a special black mirror for that purpose and tried it on several occasions but nothing happened. I’ve read tons of reports of people getting all kinds of interesting results, so it makes me think I’m doing something wrong or I’m not psychic enough.
