Moving...Someday
#11
DT,

I have said this before, Tasmania is the place for you, the temperatures are not too hot, it even snows in winter, and hey they have plenty of stone houses down there, many of the little towns are a re-creation of mother England from the first settlers, great food; lots of fresh produce.

Hmmm...something to think about AJ. As long as they have stone houses. Are you going to move there?

It’s a little too cool there for me, but I would only be about 4 hours from you if I wanted to visit… they say that Tassie is the last place in the world that has pure water.

So where are you going to move to, AJ?

I would like to move to northern NSW, but the place keeps flooding and making me think twice! I love living in the bush, but I also want the ocean near, and up there its possible to have both, the weather is perfect, I want rain but not floods, maybe there is no pleasing me…

The south of France is the best to live to my opinion; say Dordogne to Pyrenee area.

Italy and Spain is to be avoided to live officially, a long holiday there is fine.

Spain is not so stable today, because of economic crisis.

Italy is very difficult to get things done practically if you don't have a support system. It's part of their culture and you have to know friends of friends and accept a personal way of "making deals" etc. There is a big difference between North and South Italy.

I am glad you said a holiday is fine octahedron, ‘someday’ I would like to go on a cooking tour in Italy, you spend 2 weeks in the country side, staying at each farm house for approx 2 days, and cook with the women of that area, that would be a great experience.

Why Spain DT, what is it that you love about it so much to think of moving there?

IDK, Astro...I was just remembering the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" and I remembered how Spain was one of the countries that survived the next ice age. One thing for sure...Michigan will not survive it. LOL
