No jobs for US citizens without Homeland Security approval
#11
AJ, I wouldn't say law enforcement is # 2 rather I might  give that honor to the pharmeceutical industry and the media gets the #1 award.

Law enforcement is highly politicized but what else is new?

Yes, you are correct, I forgot about the media, what would we do with it, oh maybe make our own judgements!

Astrojewels....I love hearing from you and others who are from other countries. It's interesting to see what other countries think of the USA. It is hard for the citizens here to see things objectively all the time because of the media slants and the "oh so subtle" changes that are occuring over time.

Law enforcement used to be different here. Your observations sort of jolted me because I am so used to seeing what we have now. I will say that, from my own observations here, the police do not always act the way you see them on TV. Most of the time they are being very cautious to protect themselves also. Our criminals are usually armed and are not nice people. Many are very dangerous.

All of you from other countries, please continue with your great contributions. I ,for one, enjoy reading them.

Sometimes we are not that different at all.

Dont forget that the prison system here is a money maker and no one talks about that...   Thats one reason we throw people in jail sometimes for no reason and keep them there waiting on their "Speedy trial".  Ive heard of some in jail waiting on their trial for over a year and yet to be jugded at all yet..    Guilty until proven innocent!

Our tax dollars pay more for jailers then they do for homeless or poor or crippled that really need it!

The US has a higher percentage of people in jail than any other country.

We do not have enough room in our jails to just keep people waiting, people usually stay in the remand centre while awaiting trials, and I hear that it is just like a strict motel, all the modern cons.
I know our legal system is very different to yours, but trying hard to catch up.
alexandrite, we have a very low population for the amount of land, only 21 million. Our government pays money for having a child, $4000, yep four thousand buckaroos. Of course depends on your income, it certainly does attract young girls with the naive thought that it will see them through, another illuminati illusion.

Wow, 21 M in such a large country. Yep.. Big difference from our population which is somewhere around 300 M. Some areas are definitely overcrowded. NYC has about 8 M in that relatively small area. Anyone know if overcrowding causes high crime rate?

They’ve done studies on it and analysis show that high crime rate is not necessarily linked to overcrowding, but more to the low socioeconomic status of the delinquents.

The same already exists in the Netherlands:

A certificate of "good behaviour" from the department of Justice & Legal Affairs is quickly becoming requested to get simple jobs.

If the immigration process takes forever, something like a certificate of good behavior would also take forever, and most devastatingly, lay off Americans.
