The 13th Sign
#31
I did a little reading on the 13th sign and came accross this.

Quote:On the 21st January 1995, astronomers announced the 'discovery' of a new constellation named Ophiuchus or Serpentarius, the serpent bearer. The Royal Astronomical Society promptly issued statements claiming that this was the final proof that astrology was rubbish, since astrologers were, they said, not taking account of this 'new sign'. Unfortunately, as is so often the case, the astronomical greats and goods have failed to understand the very basis of astrology.

Astrologers have known about Ophiuchus for centuries, just as we know about other constellations like Pegasus and Hercules. A constellation is not the same as a 'sign'. The two are quite separate things. Astrologers use the zodiac signs as a kind of shorthand to describe the degrees of the ecliptic, that's all. This is why the other favourite astronomical 'debunk' theory, the
precession of the equinoxes, also has no effect on astrology.

The sun travels through the *constellation* of Ophiuchus between approximately November 30th and December 17th each year, thus it falls between the *astronomical constellations* of Scorpio and Sagittarius. It has no effect on modern astrology whatsoever, and most certainly is not a 13th sign of the zodiac.

You'll be happy to know that I've finished your horoscope tonight, and will post it here probably tomorrow :smile2:

Some more info on this is that the Gregorian calendar removed the 13th Moon in order to disconnect human consciousness from Moon time.As far as I know, the Illuminati still use a 13 Moon calendar.

Stewart just made a post about the 13 signs. Seems everyone has a different opinion about it.

Quote:True astrology uses the original 13 signs, the omitted one in the modern world is the sign of the Dragon/ Draco. This sign fits in between Scorpio and Saggitarius. Plus, modern astrology does not take into account the movements of the constellations which are no longer in the positions used for determining charts. This means that the start and end dates of all signs have shifted over time. Stewart

  1. ARIES = APRIL 19 - MAY 13
  2. TAURUS = MAY 14 - JUNE 19
  3. GEMINI = JUNE 20 - JULY 20
  4. CANCER = JULY 21 - AUG 9
  5. LEO = AUGUST 10 - SEPTEMBER 15
  6. VIRGO = SEPTEMBER 16 - OCTOBER  30
  7. LIBRA = OCTOBER 31 - NOVEMBER  22
  8. SCORPIO = NOVEMBER 23 - NOVEMBER  29
  9. OPHIUCHUS = NOVEMBER 30 - DECEMBER 17
  10. SAGITTARIUS = DECEMBER 18 - JANUARY 18
  11. CAPRICORN = JANUARY 19 - FEBRUARY 15
  12. AQUARIUS = FEBRUARY 16 - MARCH 11
  13. PISCES = MARCH 12 - APRIL 18

I just read this whole thread for the first time.  I go by the energy influxes I receive.  Take the moon for example:  While modern astrology says the moon is entering Aquarius on a certain day in the cycle, an astronomer will say the moon is actually entering Capricorn on that day, but what I feel coming in is the Aquarius moon energy two days before the astrologer says the moon is in Aquarius! icon_2irre   I'm already into Piscean energy when the astrologer says the moon has entered Aqaurius.

I tried to tune into the system an astonomer/astrologer uses but it didn't mesh.  I still look at it though.

I don't have a written out, linear system for what I feel coming in but I cannot tell you how many times I have felt an astrological aspect arrive before I read about it.  I've learned how many of the aspects feel -- conjunctions, oppositions, trines, etc.  I look at what kinds of feelings I feel, what kinds of thoughts I start thinking and what kinds of experiences I start having.  I by no means have it all down pat but when I start feeling something, I will say to myself, "Oh, this feels like such and such transit is happening with such and such planets.  I remember how this felt the last time it came around."  I am not fine-tuned enough to do that with each and every transit but I am aware of many of them.

Of course really heavy transits begin to power up way before they become exact astrologically and I often feel them release a few days before the astrologers say they are exact.

I don't know what system I am tuned into but I have not found one that matches the influxes I feel coming in.  And I know I don't want to be on a reptilian astrological system.  I'd prefer to be completely out of sync with it.  lol!  However, I have been aware of the 13 sign system for years and think it was more prominent at one time in history.  If they are trying to bring it back into public awareness instead of it being used by the few in private to attempt to bring about agendas, they can count me out. :D

An astrologer I like uses what he says is Nostradamus' method and no times are used because he says the time was not used back then to determine a chart's properties.  He also talks about calender changes in history.  He uses the month to determine a sun sign not the dates used by modern astrology.  For example, if one is born in March, no matter what the date, their sun sign is Pisces (Pieces) not Aires after a certain date in March.   So, there are many systems in use.  And even his moon transits don't match what I feel coming in.

Sure is an interesting subject!  Here we are in the Aquarius age, talking about astrology and Aquarius rules astrology.  It looks like the predictions that astrology would become more and more mainstream during this age are correct.  The thing is, there are many different systems of astrology and how many more will come to light that were used in different times?  Kinda reminds me of the explosion of religions during the Piscean Age!  Will we be having wars over astrology systems in the future like the wars over religions from the Piscean age?  :D
