Interesting topic AJ....it remains that we are what we eat.
Balance and common sense as well as how we feel should tell the story. I think all of us have different metabolism based on our genetics, as well as our awarness levels
If you can eat Pork and feel ok then I guess its up to you.
I personally can,t I like the way it taste, the bacon and ham that is, but I hate the way I feel afterwards.
I prefer vegetables and fruits because I feel better when I eat them...not neccesary because I like them...I really dont eat for pleasure....thats not the purpose of food...its for Energy...I eat with mindset.
I find that fish is easily digestible and then second is Chicken.
Lately chicken has even been making me nauseous, though. So Im not sure whats going on there.

On a lighter note, as a result of my diet Im in superb physical condition, I cant tell you the last time I was sick or even had the sniffles.
I dont have any allergies, no aches, no pains...nothing......and I feel it is because my body is able to regenerate itself and heal itself based on what it pulls from my diet. If I feel like I have been exposed to a virus the day before...and maybe my nodes will be swollen before I go to bed...you know that feeling before you get sick....well I always wake up the next morning better, so apparently I fight whatever it is off when I sleep.

On a side note...if I do eat bad I almost immediately feel ill.
And bad to me is anything that comes out of a box....period.

Oh ORBM, you are making me cringe with these words…..I agree that food can ‘create and establish’ a mind set, but food is pleasure and is associated to all of our senses including our non physical ones, food is not only fuel but it creates togetherness and happiness…I love food and it is one of the only things in life that you can have control over!

Our astrological placements do indicate a great deal in what your body can and can not tolerate, it is an interesting side to astrology.

Bravo to you that your body is kept so well in tune, and if more people ate foods that come from our earth rather out of the convenience aisle, Gunter would be out of a job!

Haha...dont get me wrong...when I am with family or a group of friends, I understand the importance of letting go and enjoying the meal and the company...I guess Im saying that my sterile view doesnt interfere with the human connection...and I do enjoy those meals....but when it comes to day to day life...I definitely dont eat for pleasure....I just dont like the way man made foods make me feel, I really dont even have the cravings anymore..
I swear there is something in most of those products that make us overeat...but whats strange is that we know we are over eating on junk food, we know the calories and that they are toxic, we basically know that they do more harm than good...and yet we do it because it makes us what.....feel good?
I guess thats where I check my emotions out and say no...and no means no...I dont always like it...but I always feel good...ha and thats what counts right?
:)

I figured that would make you cringe though...you food lover! ha

I prefer my pork with seasoning to taste. Humans are by design, omnivores, so we can eat it all. Except for some mushrooms, and things poison to us. Too much of anything isn't good. Balance and variety help, but no I won't eat a puppy,a cat, a guinnea pig, most fish, [though I'm attempting to diversify my diet on that], monkey meat, or insects.
In some parts of the world people do eat these things, and then some. Simply because when you're hungry, you eat what you can. There are places where people eat dirt, and even shoes, because they are so poor. Besides, the best meat comes from happy animals. When they are mistreated,as well as fed genetically modded foods, the meat will taste bad. Same with veggies, with how they're grown. You know, the whole sing to your plants etc.  Check out Bizzare foods, and you'll see what some have to eat to survive. It's really easy to down something, until you're hungry/starving.

It is ok to eat pork if it is organic farm raised. Eating pork symbolically means "reclaiming" your human genetics.

about eating herring, could this indicate an activation or reclaiming of dolphin genetics ?

Anu,
Your very right about those points. I supposed if I had grown up in a third world country my standards would be lower, but clearly we weren't meant to eat dirt or shoes.
Makes me sad to think of what people have created as realities for themselves. Either way all is as it should be, on some level they chose those circumstances for there own souls needs and evolutionary growth.

But in everything like you said, balance is the key.
I will taste anything but as a Virgo Asc.....but I by nature am picky with things like that.
