Thanks from me also - Black Amethyst was mentioned in something I  read recently and as I had not heard of it I wondered how dark it would look.  I feel quite drawn to it, as I have several small pieces of Amethyst which I have always loved.

Astrojewels,

I have actually always been drawn to dark purple.Never liked light variations of this color. So,once I did something using dark purple, and I had a hard time coming back to physical reality.

Moonchild,

This is your life-stream knowledge and Atlantean influence, because the darker the amethyst the deeper its source, and the better the quality, amethyst is never found on the surface, the lighter purple is real and holds energy but has taken less time to be produced or grown, with less universally energy, the lighter shades can be compared to a young child, the darker are old people.

It is common to have this experience you mention because dark purple so often reflects black, in color therapy - black is not a color. Black is a shade created by all other colors, and over time black has been produced to be bad or negative, it is the intensity of ‘all’ shades that make it feel extreme. If you hold anything black to the sun, it will reflect shades of purple, blue, red and so on.

In crystal therapy, you must always be cautious of the dark stones, it can be like a big download and only recommended for particular individuals.

The only thing that will take you out of the depths of that energy is clear quartz, use your double terminator because this is vertical energy and has outlets both ends so the energy can not become lodged anywhere.

So whatever technique you are doing, end it with the quartz, therefore the energy you have received from the dark stones will filter and produce it to be ‘enlightened’ – in –light- end.

Trial and error is what it is all about, you have to experience it.

Moonchild, you are welcome,

I love obsidian, it is just magnificent and the intensity of its formation makes it so unique. Tiger eye also, my youngest daughters favorite stone, she is only 9 but had some issues last week with girls at school (the female energy can be so petty) so I told her she has to deal with it, she is very emotionally sensitive. She prepared herself with her tiger eye bracelet and pendant for inner strength, went to school confronted it and now all sorted, she always uses it as her weapon in this type of thing. You can become addicted to crystals, they are just so appealing and I could talk about them all day long, take care.

AstroJewels, Moonchild, or anyone else...I have a question for you and I hope someone can answer me.

Awhile back I found this rock in my driveway. It drew me to it out of a whole driveway full of rocks, and I'm not really sure why I found it then, when I have been in that driveway many, many times in the past 9 years.  I call it my ‘Zebra Rock’ since that is what the markings on it reminded me of.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has seen anything like it before and what it could be. The markings go all away around the rock in unbroken lines. It is just so interesting and I love to have it with me.  You’ll have to excuse the quality of the pictures because I was very shaky and it was hard to get a good, clear picture of it.

Ahh...geez...I still don't know how to put more than one picture at a time in the posts, so I am going to have to put them in multiple ones...sorry.

Here's the first one:
