No...it's not Tiger's Eye. I have that and this is not the same. The color is a kind of black/grey and the lines are actually carved into the stone - they're a whitish color. It doesn't look like a gemstone at all...just a regular stone - but very unusual.

but I get an ancient feeling from it...like a native american energy...

what do you think? I'm drawn to it also.

I also thought tiger's eye...what about a petrified wood? but that can't be...cuz its got black lines...

PP: no, the lines are all whitish...the stone itself is black/grey. I know...the pictures are kind of 'crappy,' but it's the best I could do, sorry.  When I first saw it, I did think of hieroglyphics and like the lines were a kind of message, but then, I do have an active imagination. :big grin:  I don't know about petrified wood...I have that also, and this doesn't seem like the same kind, although the petrified wood that I have is from the Redwood Forest in California, so there may be other kinds...

But I still say that the lines seemed to be actually 'carved' into the stone.  I don't know...it's just puzzling to me.

  You need to put a magnet to it....  then a metal detector just to see if any metal is there.....  Looks cool!   Go see your local geologist.  Facinating.

Well it looks like tiger eye, however the lines look deep (by the pic) and are arranged a little too perfect, and yes it also resembles petrified wood. You know when you cut a tree, and each line within the trunk represents the age, I think that his has the same meaning. Because of the energy you feel and the way you were attracted to it, it might hold understanding of a past life. I know that area had many tribes of Indians, maybe something that is calling you, an ancient knowledge that is within and consciously you do not know how to open. 

My opinion is it is a rock, yep a rock that is a combination of many minerals including iron ore, where you live there is a large amount of quartz and masses of water, over millenniums of time heat then cooling of the earths crust and the speed of the globe moving create these minerals to combine, then when they come closer to the surface, the cold air makes them break into smaller bits.   

I think William has good advice, when I was in St Joes, there was a small mineral shop in the main street, we spoke to the bloke for a couple of hours, he will be able to tell you exactly what it is, he is a geologist. Be sure to tell us what it is.

  Not all metals are magnetic, thus why I said also try a metal detector.  Maybe it got jettisoned out of a Volcano near by....  Oh that was a joke......:D

  Does it feel hard like a rock?  What does it smell like?   hahahaha...  that was my first thought when I saw it.....   Im silly!    Smelly cat, Smelly cat.

Ok,I finally got the moonstones :D 

I let my intuition pick the other stones.This is what I got.Let me know what you think :big grin:

Labradorite,Prenite,Lapis Lazuli,Rhodonite,Carnelian,Ocean Jasper,Red Tiger's Eye,Selenite,petrified wood,Hawk's eye.Also found "black amethyst" which is dark purple,Rose obsidian,flourite and 2 lovely big pieces of obsidian in it's raw form and everythig you recommended I get.

The only other one which I consider a must have for further work,is Fulgurite.This is how it's created.

I have a feeling that working in the mountains with this will be really interesting.

How amazing is universal energy, reading that link and the way the fulgurite is formed is just what you need right now. Do your research before using the stones combined as you may mix up the intentions. Prehnite can be used to multiply energy so be careful when using it with another stone like obsidian or moonstone.

Prehnite also brings very accurate memories, and very good for assistance in release work.

I am so happy that you went out shopping and got all that you need, you write like you are already charged up, don’t you love how they make you feel.

I have few pieces of raw obsidian, the best way to get it, does not look so pretty but works more intensely.

The only other thing is the moonstone will amplify your moon placement and surface emotions so just be aware of that also, good luck, I wish I could go up the mountain with you and just absorb all that wonderful energy.

I was full of energy yesterday.Seems you felt that,Astrojewels.Nope,I have no intention of mixing stones.Only the ones of which I am sure about using.I held each one of them,and something guided me as to which ones to take.When you have time,tell me more about the prehnite.I wanted to get the other more lovely obsidian, but I opted for the much bigger raw pieces,that were not so pretty,but felt more powerful.And when I found the petrified wood,it was as though I found a pot of gold. It can be used to open up and activate ancient knowledge...etc.If I remember correctly,I also have to get Amber for this type of thing.I cleaned the moonstone and the amethyst,will leave the moonstone out now,when there's a full moon,and will use them when there's a full moon.Last weekend I went up to the mountains again.It was around 70.This weekend,I need a coat and it's almost snowing.So the mountains will have to wait a bit.Brrrrr. A few things came to mind when I read about the fulgurite.The correct set of stones along with the fulgurite,finding an energy grid(ley line),and I remembered teachings about how to hook up to the wind and Earth frequency,which I never tried,because you're certainly not going to do this while being in a house.Don't worry,I've always been very adventurous.Thanks,Karen.The Reppies will not be too thrilled about me acquiring old knowledge :big grin:
