Energy Healing
#11
There are some many effing theories out there. One theory is that you need to feel a flow of unconditional flow from your hands to the injury site. The other common theory is that you need to resolve whatever is holding you back in your life, that the illness is representing. I feel like it's my fault that I'm not doing something correctly. That's why these healing theories are so prevalent. Just blame the practitioners for not trying hard enough. I'm not going to study this healing stuff for another several years.

its up to you. choose whatever theory or technique you want to apply thats best for you but ultimately you have your own mind set and you can have your own theory formed and your own techniques.....don't frustrate yourself in this--in what others say or talk about. so many rules to follow..develop your own...i say it should be natural and from love and pure guidance/pure intent.whatever you do in your life, its up to you ultimately..
peace and love

Hi, SI.  As I was reading this thread, a number of things came to mind that I thought I'd share with you.

As I understand your situation, you have TMJ disfunction - in other words, your jaw is blocked from functioning properly.  When you attempt to self-administer healing energy, your efforts are blocked by a lack of energy (perhaps facilitated by something external to yourself).  In trying to resolve the difficulty with energy flow, you've become frustrated - a block on the emotional level.  So at this point, you are manifesting blocks physically, energetically and emotionally.  Does this resonate with any other situation in your life?  Perhaps there's a connection.

Louise L. Hay is a well known and respected healer who works with affirmations.  I took the following from her book You Can Heal Your Life:

Issue: Jaw problems
Interpretation: Anger. Resentment. Desire for revenge.
Affirmation: I am willing to change the patterns in me that created this condition.  I love and approve of myself.  I am safe.

Issue: Joint problems
Interpretation: Represent changes in direction in life and the ease of these movements.
Affirmation: I easily flow with change.  My life is Divinely guided, and I am always going in the best direction.

I thought it interesting that the initials of your screen name, SI, are also an acronym for the sacroilliac joint.

Anyway, since I happen to have some healing energy to spare, I'm sending some of it in your direction. icon_streichel

Thank you Pallas! The jaw problems interpretation sounds right on target. I do have a desire for revenge against the person that gave me the jaw problem. I'm going to order her book. And I will begin healing very soon so your heailng energy doesn't go to waste :)

SI, I'm glad you found the interpretation meaningful.  Hay's book has been around for a long time and has been very popular - you may want to see if it's available in your local library before you decide to buy it.

Be well.  :D

There's a copy of Hay's Heal Your Body. Do you know what's the difference between the two books?

SI: she wrote Heal Your Body first; it identifies thought patterns associated with specific illnesses.  You Can Heal Your Life contains exercises to help you modify the thought patterns.

If you have a good handle on how to modify your own thinking, Heal Your Body may be all you need to get the changes happening.  Good luck with it!

I also read up entries like Acne in Heal Your Body. The thought pattern is that I hate myself. But there is another thing I am trying to heal. I use to love running, but fractured my shin bones when I trained myself too hard. I can't find fractured shin bones in the book anywhere. Can you help me look in the other book? It's also called the tibia, and it's the bone that is attached to the feet in the front. Her list saids that lower leg problems deal with fearing the future and not moving on, but doesn't list the specific parts of the leg.

The list in the book I have is taken from Heal Your Body so no new info there.

Some people who train excessively are perfectionistic and/or punishing themselves.  If any of this resonates with you, consider the following:
  • what is the nature of perfection?  who defines it?
  • if no one else is perfect (and we're not), why do you have to be?
  • if everything God creates is perfect, and you are a creation of God, why are you trying to mess with perfection?
  • what do you feel guilty about? how does punishing  yourself change what you feel guilty about?
  • what were you running from that your body decided you needed to face?
