Travis- All I can say is, wow. You have definitely FAR surpassed anything that TheToltec has ever said to anyone here. Your overtly direct and obscene personal attack on another member just got you BANNED! I don’t care how many of your buttons he pushed (purposefully or not). Your behavior will not be tolerated here. TheToltec never aimed a personal attack toward you. He may have acted arrogant, misogynistic, opinionated and outspoken in his disagreements with you, compared your arguments (rightly or wrongly) with those of his ex-wife, called you wrong, etc. But he never called you names or swore at you. Plus since I alerted him about the various complaints from you and others and warned him to be more sensitive about sharing his (sometimes stereotyped) opinions on gender roles, he has adhered to the guidelines and “behaved”. You, on the other hand, have just flipped a “180″ and become what you claim to hate. And you ignored my warnings about name-calling and personal attacks, so you are gone.

Travis- So you are blaming me for your overboard reactions and behavior, insulting my “common sense” and connecting it to my relationship with the Swerdlows, and threatening to take “defectors” with you as you leave? Sounds like a setup to me. Why don’t you scurry over to Hyperspace Cafe and tell them all how demented I am (all because of being too close to the Swerdlows of course)? I’m sure they would love to have you (an ex-forum insider) in their ranks and would pretend to be your friends. As long as you do not have anything the least bit nice to say about the Swerdlows or their “zombies” you will never get censored or banned there! If your behavior here is an example of what “cool” people do, then I guess this forum is only for the “squares”.

Travis-BTW, my decisions as moderator on this forum are not necessarily reflective of nor do they represent the opinions of the Swerdlows. While they trust me enough to oversee this project, I still make my own decisions based on what I feel to be correct at the time. I do not always enjoy doing this, but somebody has to do it.

Thanks, Alex.  I think there was more after that too.  I'm not in the habit of swearing...ever. This was after many long months of trying to address offensive sexist remarks AND specific badgering towards me for standing up to him. I received no help for that. (A few posters did try to jump into the frey though and themselves got knocked down without any intervention ever.) If you're still interested in checking out the original debates that led to this last stand, they are there within the first and second month of the new forum.  To me, it shows how skewed
Travis's thinking is. TheToltec wove endless "monarch handler sexual prejudicial" motiffs into almost every single post for several months with practically NO ONE to challenge them except moi! There's so much more but Travis's rich reaction that I had done much worse is hyterical. Earlier on, I began to suspect that the population was somehow being neutralized. Their reactions weren't normal or appropriate. No boundaries. Where was their fight?  Why would the women AND MEN tolerate intolerable, outrageously sexist words? Why would the forum monitor? Towards the end, quite a few people came out of the woodwork to say that he was rude and offensive. Some of them e-mailed me privately saying that that was the reason they hadn't even come on the forum at all. Again, though, I was the idiot fighting the battle--ALONE! wasting MY time. I'm the one who consistently went down on the record. I'm sure all the currently fearful-still-in-the-cult-people are keeping VERY quiet now.  Especially after they saw that Stewart came on the boards and backed Travis and the Toltec.  This was the confirmation that I was waiting for. This was too sick for me...time to flee!

Interesting and funny. I know Travis well and I know you can't get anywhere with him. Like I said before his mind is totally controlled by the Swerdlows. He has no mind of his own. He just parrots everything the Swerdlows say. He can't think for himself. He's one of the most mind controlled Swerdlow bots I've ever known.

Hi Richard, for clarifications sake. My feeling is that the Swerdlow's are leaving the forum mainly to Travis to handle (to keep their time and hands free). This was a major Bruhaha and we all know (don't we) that even though the Swerdlows were away, they were still keeping tabs on it. They never made a peep. At any point, doing the decent thing--or even instructing Travis to do the right thing would have made this go away and I and a few others would still probably be involved. (Thank God it didn't work that way!) but the decent thing wasn't done. And I can see that THAT was backed by the Swerdlows. If you still stay after all of that...but many people are. Briefly, TheToltec is a vile, rude, post-hog, aggressive bully. He has much more energy than anyone else. They are in awe of his intellect. I am stunned by his ability to drop tremendous amounts of info. only to arrive at the blatantly wrong conclusion again and again. I called him a disinformation artist towards the end. And since I happen to be doing a specific article on adult children of narcissistic parents, I happen to know a lot about the topic. He's a classic (intellectual) narcissist. I'm sure you all know the havoc they can play on a forum. He used to dissect, focus and psychoanalyze why women were so screwed up, irrational, stupid etc. etc. all day and all night. I strangely enough, seemed to be the only one who reacted to this stuff? Was I the only woman's studies major at Expansions? That was a MAJOR wake up call for me.

Sound like Toltec must be a personal friend of Travis or the Swerdlows and that's why they allowed him to carry on the way he did.

If the Swerdlows aren't on the forum, what is the appeal for people to post there?

Thanks Jacaranda for the links.  Here I go again. Getting out of a new cult! I admit that I haven't had a chance yet to read all the postings but the "confidence game" that those two are still perpetrating has hooks built into it.  I found myself logging into the web site throughout the day (like a mind controlled zombie.) What I was hoping to find there...I have no idea.  I'd get lulled into thinking that this was a good way to spend my time.  What I'm most concerned about are the young people at the forum, whose tales of depression and loner status put them already at risk. Reinforcement of Expansions values and certain mentally ill predators (without me there to do battle for them) worries me.
