Hi all,

DreamTime Wrote:Listen people...this is Zvezdica's thread. I think it is up to her to say whether or not she cares for how it is going, don't you all? If she doesn't mind, then no one else should either. If she does mind, then the conversations should be taken to a different section where everyone is free to carry on.
I agree on this one. Otherwise, we could just start another topic on the subject.

So, i can open my own thread, and make my own rules for that specific thread, and if i don't like how people express themselves or what they write,i have a right to demand dislocation of unwanted conversation.
Very interesting way of thinking,i must add.

Zvezdica doesn't seem to mind.

Good points Veronica.

you took it literally...as usual.

Let say we have a nice topic, something like...esoteric knowledge. After a couple of posts, a serious and interesting discussion starts developing, and then someone changes a direction, and you end up talking about shoes and underpants. And then new member come and open that same subject and figures that all they talking about is about shoes and underpants.

Here is another example, lets say we have an introduction topic named "Hi all" just like this one. The topic went in completely different direction and most of us don't even think how it started. And this discussion is very interesting. So why not give it a new name? A name that would be recognizable to those who are new ones. Do you really think someone would open a subject name "Hi all"?

So yes, if I open a topic, and a topic is something that I belive could be of use to others who seek knowledge, I would certainly demand from moderators not to be spoiled. What the decision going to be, it is up to moderators.

Sorry Zvezdica, I didn't disrespect your topic, I just wanted to make a point that if interesting posts develop from something that is not so interesting at the first sight, it should be somehow marked for those who are new.

I think the moderators are doing a good job here and I always delete spam when I catch it. I can't prevent spam from being posted but I delete when I see it.
A introduction thread isn't really topic specific and I would say it is up to the person who started it to say what topics they want and don't want in their thread.

Now I know what spam you're talking about. I didn't know you were calling some members conversations spam. To me spam is a advertisement for a product or service. Anyway this software doesn't have the option to split posts from a thread. The only thing I can do is delete the posts you don't want in this thread.
