Fuel's Paradise? Power Source That Turns Physics on Its Head
Posted by: Richard - 11-19-2005, 01:33 AM - Forum: Science & Technology - No Replies

Scientist says device disproves quantum theory
· Opponents claim idea is result of wrong maths

Alok Jha, science correspondent
Friday November 4, 2005
The Guardian

It seems too good to be true: a new source of near-limitless power that costs virtually nothing, uses tiny amounts of water as its fuel and produces next to no waste. If that does not sound radical enough, how about this: the principle behind the source turns modern physics on its head.

Randell Mills, a Harvard University medic who also studied electrical engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, claims to have built a prototype power source that generates up to 1,000 times more heat than conventional fuel. Independent scientists claim to have verified the experiments and Dr Mills says that his company, Blacklight Power, has tens of millions of dollars in investment lined up to bring the idea to market. And he claims to be just months away from unveiling his creation.

The problem is that according to the rules of quantum mechanics, the physics that governs the behaviour of atoms, the idea is theoretically impossible. "Physicists are quite conservative. It's not easy to convince them to change a theory that is accepted for 50 to 60 years. I don't think [Mills's] theory should be supported," said Jan Naudts, a theoretical physicist at the University of Antwerp.

What has much of the physics world up in arms is Dr Mills's claim that he has produced a new form of hydrogen, the simplest of all the atoms, with just a single proton circled by one electron. In his "hydrino", the electron sits a little closer to the proton than normal, and the formation of the new atoms from traditional hydrogen releases huge amounts of energy.

This is scientific heresy. According to quantum mechanics, electrons can only exist in an atom in strictly defined orbits, and the shortest distance allowed between the proton and electron in hydrogen is fixed. The two particles are simply not allowed to get any closer.

According to Dr Mills, there can be only one explanation: quantum mechanics must be wrong. "We've done a lot of testing. We've got 50 independent validation reports, we've got 65 peer-reviewed journal articles," he said. "We ran into this theoretical resistance and there are some vested interests here. People are very strong and fervent protectors of this [quantum] theory that they use."

Rick Maas, a chemist at the University of North Carolina at Asheville (UNC) who specialises in sustainable energy sources, was allowed unfettered access to Blacklight's laboratories this year. "We went in with a healthy amount of scepticism. While it would certainly be nice if this were true, in my position as head of a research institution, I really wouldn't want to make a mistake. The last thing I want is to be remembered as the person who derailed a lot of sustainable energy investment into something that wasn't real."

But Prof Maas and Randy Booker, a UNC physicist, left under no doubt about Dr Mill's claims. "All of us who are not quantum physicists are looking at Dr Mills's data and we find it very compelling," said Prof Maas. "Dr Booker and I have both put our professional reputations on the line as far as that goes."

Dr Mills's idea goes against almost a century of thinking. When scientists developed the theory of quantum mechanics they described a world where measuring the exact position or energy of a particle was impossible and where the laws of classical physics had no effect. The theory has been hailed as one of the 20th century's greatest achievements.

But it is an achievement Dr Mills thinks is flawed. He turned back to earlier classical physics to develop a theory which, unlike quantum mechanics, allows an electron to move much closer to the proton at the heart of a hydrogen atom and, in doing so, release the substantial amounts of energy he seeks to exploit. Dr Mills's theory, known as classical quantum mechanics and published in the journal Physics Essays in 2003, has been criticised most publicly by Andreas Rathke of the European Space Agency. In a damning critique published recently in the New Journal of Physics, he argued that Dr Mills's theory was the result of mathematical mistakes.

Dr Mills argues that there are plenty of flaws in Dr Rathke's critique. "His paper's riddled with mistakes. We've had other physicists contact him and say this is embarrassing to the journal and [Dr Rathke] won't respond," said Dr Mills.

While the theoretical tangle is unlikely to resolve itself soon, those wanting to exploit the technology are pushing ahead. "We would like to understand it from an academic standpoint and then we would like to be able to use the implications to actually produce energy products," said Prof Maas. "The companies that are lining up behind this are household names."

Dr Mills will not go into details of who is investing in his research but rumours suggest a range of US power companies. It is well known also that Nasa's institute of advanced concepts has funded research into finding a way of using Blacklight's technology to power rockets.

According to Prof Maas, the first product built with Blacklight's technology, which will be available in as little as four years, will be a household heater. As the technology is scaled up, he says, bigger furnaces will be able to boil water and turn turbines to produce electricity.

In a recent economic forecast, Prof Maas calculated that hydrino energy would cost around 1.2 cents (0.7p) per kilowatt hour. This compares to an average of 5 cents per kWh for coal and 6 cents for nuclear energy.

"If it's wrong, it will be proven wrong," said Kert Davies, research director of Greenpeace USA. "But if it's right, it is so important that all else falls away. It has the potential to solve our dependence on oil. Our stance is of cautious optimism."

Alternative energy

Cold fusion

More than 16 years after chemists' claims to have created a star in a jar imploded in acrimony, the US government has said it might fund more research. Mainstream physicists still balk at reports that a beaker of cold water and metal electrodes can produce excess heat, but a hardy band of scientists across the world refuse to let the dream die.

Methane hydrates

The US and Japan are leading attempts to tap this source of fossil fuel buried beneath the seabed and Arctic permafrost. A mixture of ice and natural gas, hydrates are believed to contain more carbon than existing reserves of oil, coal and gas put together.

Solar chimneys

Sunlight heats trapped air, which rises through a giant chimney and drives turbines. Leonardo da Vinci designed such a power tower and the Australian company Enviromission plans to build one. Despite being scaled down recently, the concrete chimney will still stand some 700 metres over the outback.

Nuclear fusion

Turns nuclear power on its head by combining atoms rather than splitting them to release energy - copying the reaction at the heart of the sun. After years of arguments the world has agreed to build a test reactor to see whether it works on a commercial scale. Called Iter, it could be switched on within a decade.

Wave generators

No longer a dead duck, the hopes of engineers are riding on bobbing floats again. The British company Trident Energy recently unveiled a design that uses a linear generator to convert the motion of the sea into electricity. A wave farm just a few hundred metres across could power 62,000 homes.

Kansas Backs Intelligent Design In Science Lessons
Posted by: Richard - 11-19-2005, 01:22 AM - Forum: Science & Technology - No Replies

The US state of Kansas has ruled that science classes in public schools should include the teaching of intelligent design and the doubts it casts on Darwinian evolution. The move has dismayed the nation’s scientific community.

The vote on science standards in schools was passed by 6 to 4 by the state’s Board of Education. It is a victory for proponents of intelligent design, who helped draft the new standards. Intelligent design suggests that living creatures are too complex to have evolved without the influence of an intelligent designer.

The new standards will come into effect in 2007. The board rewrote the definition of science, so that it is no longer limited to the search for natural explanations of phenomena. Other explanations, such as intelligent design, will now be permitted in biology lessons.

Religiously inspired material

The Kansas decision was announced as voters in Pennsylvania ousted eight out of nine members of an education board that had approved a similar policy in schools in the state's Dover district. The ninth member was not up for re-election. The new board members promised to repeal the policy.

The Dover district board members were ousted just days after the close of a federal lawsuit. Parents accuse the board of introducing religiously inspired material – intelligent design – into schools, in breach of the US constitution's separation of church and state.

Since 2004, schools in Dover have been ordered to read out a prepared statement on intelligent design in biology classes. The judge is expected to give his verdict by January 2006.

Fossil records

The Kansas vote marks the third time in six years that the Kansas board has rewritten the standards on the teaching of evolution. In 1999 the board eliminated most references to evolution, prompting Harvard University palaeontologist Steven Jay Gould to comment that it was like teaching “American history without Lincoln”.

The new standards include a statement that fossil records are inconsistent with evolutionary theory. The standards do not dictate what will be taught in the state’s schools – those decisions remain with 300 local school boards – but they will be used to develop student tests that measure how well schools teach science.

In anticipation of the Kansas board vote, the National Academy of Sciences and the National Science Teachers Association has revoked permission for Kansas to use any of their copyrighted material in the state standards.

Critics argue that intelligent design is simply repackaged creationism that uses scientific language in order to evade a 1987 US Supreme Court decision. That decision banned the teaching of the biblical story of creation in science lessons in public schools.

  The Gender Of The Oversoul
Posted by: Octahedron - 11-17-2005, 02:31 PM - Forum: Metaphysics - Replies (4)

Something completely different.

Everybody has an Oversoul, but what is the (relative) gender of the Oversoul ?

Stewart explained an average female has 60% female characteristics and 40 % male characteristics;

otherwise an average male has 40% female characteristics and 60% female characteristics;

So, could we say as a balance, the Oversoul for males acts more like a female figure, otherwise the Oversoul of females acts more like a male figure ?

Kabbalistic cycles

by Joseph Lisiewski

First: This is a New Falcon publication. Normally these are related to the
Golden Dawn. However, I know that this guy does not exactly use Crowley's
system (the star is still tzaddi here). And he uses the White Tarot deck.
So that was a surprise. Normally I am not a fan of these publications, because
of that smartass attitude of those people.

--So..

Anybody tried this?

I have, several times and have to say, while I generally despise such systems,
I was surprised.

It did not exactly provide the results as mentioned in the book or in the
amazon comments (which I think are partly faked), but I had results.

What is it?

The author built a system that is a combination of Kabbalah, Tarot and Sun-/Moon
influence.

How does it work?

Every day is related to a planet: Monday = Moon, Tuesday = Mars etc.
These days are then mapped onto the according sephiroth (monday=yesod, tuesday=geburah).

Now for each day the sun and moon hours are calculated according to their sunrise
and sunset.

This gives 12 sunhours and 12 moon hours for each day. Every hour is again connected
to a planet, which can be found again on the tree of life.
Depending on the nature of the planet, the relation of hour planet to day planet
and the possibility that there might be a path between the sephiroth, there is
an influence depending on these factors for a given hour.
Especially when there is a path it is related to a tarot trump, which gives an
intense influence on this hour.

The author gives lots of examples on the nature of such hours, when to do things
of a certain nature (starting a business, selling something, meeting a new friend
for life or the opposite, doing meditation). I have found that not all turns out
as expected, but there were three positions and hours during a week, that definitely
had a good influence on my mind and I could use it to create harmony for myself.
Of course there is always the possibility, that this is pure imagination.

There was especially a situation during work, that was highly unfortunate according
this system and I got a deadline that was impossible to fulfill and it looked as I would
be the one sacrificed for something that was mismanaged long before it reached me.
I got that during mars day, mars hour and the kickoff was during an hour that
was related to the Tower tarot card, but I managed it nevertheless. But that is due
to my energy and personality, I prosper during chaos (my management didn't know that).
So it is not pure gold.

Maybe the gold appears when this system is related to Stewart's system with some
improvements, but that would cost some time for research.

I have a program to calculate it, but it is currently unusable. I hope to
get it on soon, so that it gets easy to calculate the hours.

Hi. I am under electromagnetic attack, torture about 2 months continuous. Microwave, ELF, ultrasonic, laser, etc. There is advanced watching system at same time. look at this link. www.conspiracyarchive.com/NWO/microchip_implants_mind_control.htm I perceived this mind control conspiracy 2 months ago. I think now that this disgusting interference is doing since about 4 years. There is a psychopath and satanist man in upstair flat. he is a mind control agent. There is a small satanic, disgusting conspiracy. Pact between contemptible some neighbors and others. they might get big moneys from Illuminati guys, in other words MIT (turkish intelligence department)
Reptilians detect special, strong people and turn Hell their lifes. they interference and ruin our lifes. I have a reptile older brother and a bad parents. I hate my family. My parents dont believe my conversation about this mind control, torture. They think that this is natural psychological disease. They dont care about me.
I think Dracos set sabotages to our valuable lifes before we are alive. Demons. They consider us as a danger their Earth control. We are in very high vibrations. They hate high vibrations. Sorry i am forced while write english. I have poor english.

I have a question. I want to rebirth on this planet or other human planets. And want fighting with Draco, greys then. May this realization if i kill myself?

  Numerology

hey folks...I noticed there hasnt been much on the forums about numerology yet sooo... here we go..

Here you can calculate your numbers.

http://www.circle-of-light.com/Metaphysi...ology.html

Here is some explainations of the numbers.

http://www.astrology-numerology.com/numerology.html

Your "life path number" or "destiny number" comes from your date of birth and has to do with the big cosmic theme, the reason for your birth into this reality.

The other 3 numbers you get have to do with the tone that is imprinted into your energy field from your name (im guessing)

Your "name number" or "expression number" comes from your full name.

Your "personality number" or "inner dreams number" comes from the consonants in your name.

and your soul urge number comes from the vowels in your name.

Sorry for any confusion with the different terminology. They call them different things in the 2 links i posted.

What i have shared with you is part of what Stewart and Janet do in their consultations.Im not very good at scanning or anything like that but hopefully this can be of some help to you guys. The basic meanings of numbers(vibratory rates) are defined in the Healers Handbook. The link that i provided in the post gives a general discription of the personality traits that eminate from these frequencies. Its important to have a good understanding of all the numbers so you can really get a "feel" for them and be able to tune into them. The more peoples numbers you figure and the more you study  numbers everywhere in your daily life, the better you can understand them and use them.Numerology is definately an important aspect of hyperspace work.

  True Astrology
Posted by: Monica - 11-15-2005, 07:29 PM - Forum: Astrology - Replies (23)

I started looking at astrology seriously when it was brought up on the Expansions forums.  Almost immediately I started finding discrepancies when I wanted to combine this with my Hyperspace knowledge to help my interpretations.  For example, I felt the associated colours with the signs should progress in a logical order as the chakras do, but then I ended up with Leo in ice-blue.  That didn't seem right!!  Each time I looked at the planets/signs/houses and tried to fit them with numerology, colour codes, and so on, I would reach a block.  I also reached blocks when I tried to use 13 signs, because of course they do not fit into a circle evenly.  I was so frustrated I decided to leave the topic alone for a while.

A friend of mine pointed out that the current astrological system is based on group mind imprinting, and the real astrological information has been hidden very carefully.  When Sariel posted the link to Griffith Observatory in the Mayan Astrology thread, I got a piece of information that pulled things together.  The constellations are of different sizes, so the sun actually spends different amount of time in them.  However, I was suspicious of the link as it mentioned the 'Age of Aquarius', and Griffith sounded like an Illuminati symbolism.  I decided the truth was the different constellation sizes, but the rest sounded like an agenda.

I realised then that if the twelve-sign system has been created to imprint and maintain, the group mind, then the names of planets, signs etc. would also have been carefully planned.  The energies associated with these signs is likewise a combination of illusion with truth - disinformation.  Therefore, to understand the 13 signs, all the panet, constellations, and house energies would need to be renamed and re-interpreted!

I believe that Karen's interpretations at Expansions are so accurate because she accesses the group-mind on the Oversoul level.  Most people are not ready to see what is happening in front of their eyes in the world, let alone discover the greater esoteric truths of our galaxy!!  So, because most of humanity is still functioning as a herd mentality, then the 12-point system really is more accurate.  I feel this information gives clues and guidelines for moving through your physical reality imprinting and genetic chains, and eventually the True Astrology will be relevant.

  Another Underground Theme
Posted by: Guest - 11-15-2005, 06:56 AM - Forum: Dreams - Replies (7)

The dream from this night (some symbols left out). Maybe I  post that on Expansions too:
[color="blue"]
I was trying to escape a person that was following me.

First I was sitting in the car with that person and I jumped out of the
car and ran away, while this guy was following me. After running for some
time I tried to hide on a ferry that was going along a canal. I noticed that
the man following me was on the ferry too, so I jumped into the water and tried to
swim away from there. I swam through several channels until I came into a
tunnel. Going through knee deep water with several persons behind me, I
came into a hall with several ramps leading up to metal framed glass doors that were
integrated into the natural stone.
The doors had security installations/electronics that enabled only authorized
persons to go through. Somehow I managed to go through the door on the right.
It lead to a spiral staircase like structure (with oval shape) that was leading
up or down. I went up and had to go through several similar doors to go further.
I came again into a hall with ramps to several doors and managed to go into another
door to a staircase like structure. I went down this time. There I couldn't find
the door to the next level. But a hidden door opened and from above and a blond girl
came through it and helped me to go up.

I woke up and after some seconds I heard a voice saying "go home to Montauk" (in
German, of course).

  The Lion Frequency

Well, guess I should start a thread on the lion frequency.

But I really need to know how "Ari" is pronounced.  Ari is a species of humanoid lions in the higher astral plane...

And I also need to know the real name for the GOLDEN LION WITH WINGS.  Thank you!
