Balancing Your T-Bar
#61
Yeah...guess I'll have to try some visuals. I walk all day long with this darn baby of a dog I have, in all kinds of weather.  I tired sleeping sitting up when I used to have trouble breathing - and I already am up more than I want to be.

Boy, I tell you...if my dog's 'farts' don't knock me out than I don't think anything will. He is completely noxious!! icon_fart

I think you have a bit of an obsession with food William, at least with all that garlic you should have good blood and no worms! (And maybe the breath of 10 camels.)

Yes it is the melatonin that creates the body into a rest state but is only fully secreted when you are in sleep mode and at night, I did not know you can take it, is it in a pill? If you are taking it during the day it may be doing more damage, I will have to do some research.

Do not take a sleeping pill, that is a no no, unless you are extremely tired and need a once off rest. Have you tried co enzyme, I believe that is the ultra vitamin for so many things.

All the things that you say about your life does indicate that you DT are right brain dominant and Richard is left, it takes you awhile to get to sleep because your mind is wondering and visualizing, when Richard wakes up he needs to find a reason for his waking up(left brain purpose) have a smoke and mmm.

If you are doing the same techniques it will not help, the other thing is how long are you both inside during the day? The only way for the pineal gland to construct the correct amount of hormones is through ultra violet light directly from the sun. Every person needs at least 20 minutes of sun per day, even if it is cloudy.

Every person has a dominate side and this does not mean the other side is not functioning, it is just how you process life and the way your chakra energy exits.

Well this sleepless in michigan is a mystery and I wanna get to the bottom of it!  Maybe spin chakras backwords for bedtime?   I use to buy Kava in root form and make a tea from it.  The Hawiians do that as a religious drink.  It is kinda intoxicating but only if you get fresh root or bark i fergit and must seep for long time.  So you cant do it with the pills all you kiddies out there that wanna get yor freek on!  Its so mild anyway but it did make the movie "Naked lunch" very interesting............

Yes I do love to cook!  I was facinated by cooking as a child but never did any till a few years ago.  But im too hot and sweaty to cook in a restaurant.   I want to cook like a gourmet before I leave this planet!  I have many hobbies and collecting belly button lint is just a rumor!!!!  a rumor I say!!!

Knowing myself I would have to say I’m more of a right brain thinker than a left. The R's in my name and the left hand are indicators of that. Also I rely more on gut feeling more than I do on hard facts. I know left brain thinkers want hard facts before they’ll believe anything.

I think you're doing fine with the posts. :big grin:  I read that article on melatonin. I don't know though...it just doesn't seem to work on me. Maybe I need to take the whole bottle.  The pills I have are 2mg each. Guess I just have to live with my messed up system. I already know that I have an abnormal thinking system. icon_alien

DT,

If you’re walking the dog regularly, you should be producing enough melatonin with the sunlight, exercise and fresh air. Maybe it is all the methane from your pooch!

Richard,

That is a funny way to diagnose which hemisphere is dominant.

Writing is a left brain function, 95-98% of children swap hands when painting, drawing, etc at pre-school age, it is when we begin writing words, and we take a preference to the right/left hand function. It is true that you know yourself the best, so if you feel you are right brain, then I agree. The sleeping pattern must be something else.

Hey, does that dog sleep in anywhere near your bedroom?

ROFL
I can't help but laugh while I'm reading this thread!!!!
Well I've had my shares of insomnia.

So this is what I did: To calm my nervousness, I drink lots of herbal teas during the day to calm myself down. One person suggested drinking warm milk..you could add ginger, cardamom, fennel, nutmeg, brown sugar, and fenugreek(kinda like the stuff you'd use for chai but its in milk with no black tea)....someone even said almond milk helps...or peanut butter--a table spoon full of it(thats really to prevent nightmares. Before night time,I would recommend doing anything thats calming and relaxing..there are yoga postures to help with sleep(that way you could get out all the excess tension from your bodies and release it)..i'm sure there are tai chi and qi gong exercises out there. You should try to take some calming foods also..like some nice warm soups!!!! In a dahnak class I used to go to, the instructor strongly recommended this exercise as a sleep aid which I didn't do too much but I thought I'd mention it here anyway: He said sit up straight in your bed or on the floor and have your legs straightened up. All you're gonna do is clang the sides of the feet and toes against each other 200 times to even 1000 times if you really need to. He said the focus and the energy goes to the ground so I'd take it as a grounding exercise.

This ayurvedic practitioner told me to do a savasana like pose(corpse pose) before going to sleep...where you ask higherself/Oversoul to send you a cleansing energy and it could be a color of your choice..green, white, blue, purple, violet, gold or silver,etc...you just start off with a focus at your feet with the light entering your feet in a visualization and you imagine that as the light travels through your body, that you're mind is traveling with it..breathing out any tensions/coiled up energies...imagine that you're inside your body...like you're following the sensations in your body..with this light...and breathing out anything you find....and you just send it all back up to higherself/Oversoul..all the negative stuff.

you could do oil massages too(warm oil on the head...or even on the body)...aromatherapy...I'll look it up on what oils can calm one's arse before sleeping lol.

Okay I gotta bounce now!!!!

I feel bad for that doggie. I'll look up something on canine flatulence or I'll ask my friend who's studying to be a vet.

Oh..and guys..William is good for taking his daily garlic..I was just reading how its really great for all herbal remedies...I'm gonna start taking more of it..it might help me manifold with whatever tiny ailments I'm going through..colds,digestive issues.

peace out brothers and sisters.

i still think try out that frankincense...or pineal elixirs..or alternative nostril breathing
